What a Voice! Great Songs/Lyrics!

Recently, I was in need of some spiritual uplifting. I tuned to the Contemporary Christian channel on my Satellite Radio, and heard the voice of Natalie Grant. I had never heard of her, but her voice and song "So Long" was inspiring. It seemed like the lyrics were exactly how I was feeling in life. It made me an instant fan, so I first purchased another one of her albums "Awaken" and her message was seemingly directed at me! It helps when you can relate to the music. Am I stating the obvious? Anyway, GREAT voice! Rock/Soulful, a Tinge of country. Her songs range from Rock-Outs to soft ballad-style, to Pop to kind of Jazz on a couple tracks. This cd is great proof of the talent Natalie Grant has. Her powerful vocals make her sound very Kelly Clarkson-esque and the music is very contemporary. I like Natalie's smooth distinct tone and her fearless abandoned of musical stylings. There is a wide variety of tunes and tempos on this album, but one thing remains through all, which is her clear, honest voice that lifts to praise the one true God!! I like this CD very much. I think it is one of Natalie's best because it has a good mix of uptempo and slower songs. The songs really speak to me. I also think she sings great, and I've seen her live so I know it is not just because she is singing in a studio.
