Disappointed for the price, better products in a similar price range from other brands.

Let's start off with the good:
The build quality feels great, and it has a nice weight to it. The mounting arms/flaps are big and sturdy, and just feel nice and overbuilt, in a good way. The camera also looks cool! The built in light is also a plus, and it's cool how it's easily adjusted by turning the ring on the outside of the light. A clever design.

Now for what I don't like:
The built in light is nice, but the image quality is worse than similarly priced models from LG. Don't get me wrong, the image quality is not terrible, and there are other webcams which have worse quality. But for the price, I am disappointed. The LG models I have tried do not actually need a light to get good image quality, while the Razer suffers from poor quality unless the light is on. Also, the controls from within the Razer Synapse app are not as user friendly and intuitive as those on the LG app.

I don't like how I can not adjust the image in the Razer app while simultaneously using the webcam for lets say, a zoom call. Also, integration into Windows is also not as easy as the LG products I have used. One other thing I don't like about the Kiyo is that the low light compensation mode is enabled by default and there is no way to permanently disable it; it resets automatically. When this mode is on, the video from the cam is worse quality in exchange for trying to get a brighter picture.

I am in no way sponsored or supported or even a fanboy of LG, but from personal experience, I know I will buy one of their webcams next time instead of a Razer.

Great streaming webcam

The webcam is easy to set up, it was pretty much just plug and play on my Windows 10 desktop. The attached joints/mount make it easy to put on top of any monitor at pretty much any angle. I'm using it mainly for streaming tabletop games and it works great with excellent image quality.

I can rest it on top of my second monitor and the wide FOV lets me show the full area of my maps, about a 2' x 3' area. Very happy with the purchase and it was in like-new condition.

Awesome Webcam

Bought this webcam for my work PC. It came at a pretty reasonable price with its high functionality. Setup was really straight forward. It works pretty much out the box on windows PCs. The drivers install automatically once plugged in. The light feature is pretty nice, it smooths out the picture a bit more. It does a great job of working in low lighting which is perfect for working at the PC all day. I highly recommend this to someone looking for an alternative to the LG webcams. Read full review...

Great quality, easy to set up

System has great software functions, high resolution, and good sound quality. I do use the light every once in a while when I am on a later video conference. The only drawback is that I cannot figure out how to just turn on the camera without going into a bunch of Razer software.Read full review...

Great product but one missing feature

The Rayer Kiyo is outstanding product combination of camera and built in lighting. The feature I would add is a privacy security camera lens. I knew it didn't have one before purchasing but but all camera manufacturers should build these in. Read full review...

Great quality for any price.

I bought this to use with my MacBook Air laptop. The internal camera is awful. The Razer price was good so I tried it. It’s so easy to connect and set up. The quality of the camera is amazing. There is a diffusing light around the outer rim of the camera which softens my face yet everything is crisp and clear. I would recommend this camera to use with your computer.Read full review...

Razer Kiyo

Very good camera much better than the built in camera on my laptop. Built in ring light is a great feature. No issues to speak off.

Ideal for youtube...

The built in light and microphone are a nice touch. However, the light itself isn't bright enough to use along with a green screen. Additional equipment is required for such use. The built-in microphone is of acceptable quality, but I would highly recommend getting a dedicated external microphone instead. Build quality is superior when compared to other webcams. Expect less defined colors with the Kiyo, but sharper images compared to Logitech webcams priced in the same category. For the money, this is a great alternative to Logitech webcams.

Would I recommend it? Hell yes.
