Played this game on every system and the arcade. good multi player game

Nothing like playing rampart in the arcade, but if you have atleast one friend in your life then it does not matter what platform you purchase it for.

This game is pure fun! It feels slightly different on each system (nes, snes, genesis) Not a big difference, but they don't feel the exact same.

The one player mode is not bad but this game is all about 2 player mode.

Its also on the midway collection on ps1 and the original XBOX. the ps1 and Xbox versions are the true arcade version and is 3 players. The Nes, sega genesis and super nintendo games were only 2 players.

The game is a mix of tetris and a strategy cannon bomber game. You build you base and then shoot to destroy your opponent. Then you have a few seconds to rebuild. You loose if you can not form one castle wall with the tetris style pieces t hey give you between each battle. Midway has made some true classics. Rampart is one of there finer works. Simple game but loads of fun. Midway made a lot of great games in the early days of Arcade.Read full review...

Classic Sega Game Rampart

For warfare strategy, puzzles and all out time driven stress this is a great deal of intertainment for an old and by todays standards simple game with simple graphics. Build walls around your castles with blocks much like tetris style flip and place shapes. Place cannons inside your walls and fire at the enemy. Rebuild between battles in time to recieve more fire power and expand your areas for more room to put earned cannons. Awesome, fast paced, arcade action brought to your home on your Genesis!

This is the home version of the arcade masterpiece! I played this one in the arcade & I couldn't wait to play it at home. This game delivers ALL of the arcade action right on your Genesis!
Invading ships seek to conquer your lands & all that you have is your castle's defensive cannons.
1) You place the cannons 2) after the both sides exchange cannon fire, you have to repair the walls with TETRIS shaped pieces. If you leave a hole at the end of the repair phase, then it's GAME OVER.
