A bit like a textbook, but worth reading

While the book is interesting, it reads much like a textbook, which I am not sure was the author's intent. Cain makes subjective comments about the work of researchers and their studies, which I am finding a bit irritating (let me research and read on my own, thank you).

However, she does provide resources that will cause me to read other works (iWoz for example).

Great Book!

This is an excellent book on the subject of introverts and how they fit in as well as how they are handled by extroverts in our world. Not only does it shed light on introverts personal lives, but is beneficial in business. I believe that it should be mandatory reading for any business managers that want to get the most out of all their people and at the same time improve employee morale. Susan Cain does a great job presenting the subject through both personal experience and interviews. If I had to fault it at all I found the font a little small in the paperback version, but it is some larger in the hardcover version, which makes it more enjoyable to read.Read full review...

KUDOS TO SUSAN CAIN FOR AN EXCELLENT, AND WELL RESEARCHED BOOK!

I came across this book through an article in Time magazine and being an intovert myself search ebay to get a copy. This book explores the many advamtages and contributions of an intovert to society. Only in American society that they look down on introverts. They are under the false assumptions that the more you talk the more you know and therefor more impressive hence get all the break and opportunities at work. This book exposes all the myth surrounding those assumptions! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG IN PREFERRING THE SIDELINES AND LISTEN THAN NONE STOP TALKING! IT IS NOT THE QUANTITY OF WORDS THAT COUNT BUT THE QUALITY OF WORDS! WHILE EVERYBODY IS TALKING WE ARE ALWAYS THINKING!Read full review...

One of the best books I ever read

If you haven't seen Ms. Cain on "Ted Talk" take the time to watch it. You'll want more and this book is where you'll find it. For us "black sheep"
(Introverts) of the family it's most validating!!!Read full review...
