Order from Pressure Cooker Model Number for correct gasket
This one fit because I went by the pressure cooker Model number. Just going by the quarts will not necessarily give you the correct fit. It is necessary to find the model number and find the gasket that goes with that model order and order from that, not just the quarts alone. My pressure cooker was made in the 1930's or 40's I think. It belonged to my grandmother who was born in 1888. She used it regularly. I couldn't find a model number on the lid, because it wasn't made with one, but with help from representative managed to get a gasket and relief valve that fit perfectly Very helpful. Installing flat rubber Pressure Cooker Gasket with Astro Glide.
Install into Cooker lid using Astro Glide lube from drug store. It really makes a huge improvement on install process.The gasket literally glides into a perfectly even fit. It also leaves the gasket protected from the cooking process as well. Petroleum and animal grease cause the rubber gasket to swell, distort and break down.
