Execelent cooker with some improvements that you will love
We replaced a 25 yr old Dazey cooker with this new Presto cooker. .It is not as heavy as the old one which is not a problem at all and it makes it easier to get on the high shelf in the pantry. The strainer pan is half as tall as the old unit which also is not a problem. The smaller diameter of the pot is great because you don't need as much oil for deep frying for two people. the unit is completely immersible which will keep it clean for many many years of use. As long as your not cooking for a large family or gathering this cooker will amaze you. We defiantly recommend owning one.Read full review...

A Little Flimsy But Works OK
When I compared this 06006 side by side with my old Fry Pappy deep fryer I was a little disappointed. This one is somewhat smaller, lighter and the walls of the cooker are about 40% thinner. Also the strainer is much more shallow than it appears in the pictures. I'm not a fan of the two-piece heat control which is held together with weak magnets. The cord could have been a little longer, too. Having said all that, the 06006 did fry my breaded catfish nuggets to perfection in under 7 minutes. Plus it cleaned up very easily. Had this multicooker for 12 years!
I love this multicooker so much, I love how quickly it steams, it doesn't take too long to make a stew in, and also I love the fact that it deep fries. The only reason why I bought a new one is because after 12 years of using it, the non stick started to scrape off but you have to make sure you don't use metal in the kettle. Also, when you deep dry it does take a little longer than a actual deep dryer to heat up but the frying results are very even and reliable. I definitely recommend this. Read full review...
