Polarity can be frustrating.
The motor works great, the only issue I had was the color coding was backwards for the black plug. This is on my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport. Driver side. It came with the red plug installed and the black plug for the vehicles with the older plug. So I cut the red plug off and soldered the red plug on. Fortunately I tested the motor before closing up the door, because up was down, and down was up. This was an easy fix. Just remove the rubber plug in the rear of the connector. Then the red keeper on the terminal side. Inside you will find a tab you can pull away from each terminal and slide them out the rear of the connector body. Now swap them and push them in all the way. Then put the keeper and plug back in. Read full review...
