BBC Planet Earth - HD DVD
I am sure I would like the product if I could play it on my DVD player. I have a standard DVD player but what I bought was for a HD DVD player. I did not realize this until this Christmas morning when my husband tried to play it and it won't work. I thought when it said HD DVD, that is was going to be in great resolution, not that you needed a special DVD player to play it on. Just be careful.Read full review...

Great Series
Awesome series. Great graphics on HD-DVD. The series follows different animal species throughout the different regions of the world. It is awesome to see the things that I know full and well I will never get to see in real life- landscapes and wildlife- and in HD they all look excellent.Read full review...

This is the most amazing series ever created! My entire family and I sat for hours watching this collection! It is truely captivating, and so wonderful to learn about all the places, and species that almost no one knew about before these were made! Just an amazing series!
You may love everything about this series if you like wild-life and breath-taking views of the earth's landscape. The version with the British narrator is done well but I am waiting for the version with Sigourney Weavor as that version is done just incredible. Her voice works seamlessly with the series and I couldn't find a thing a to complain about except that it ended!Read full review...
Planet Earth
I rarely watch "nature" shows. Boring! But I watched and loved this series.
It is absolutely spectacular. From the bird whose face disappears when he
spreads his feathers to attract a mate to the father penquins who stand together
in subfreezing weather with no food for months, this series is amazing.

sorry i cant give a review, my dvd wouldnt play it. product looked good tho
i really wish i could give a good review on this dvd but unfortunately my dvd wont play on my dvd player :(. it too bad because im sure it is a good dvd. the price was great. i would recommend this tho because i have the others dvd for planet earth and its very insightful, especially for children.Read full review...
Bought for a xmas present that was requested by person
I have not watched this or seen on TV but this particular DVD was requested by recipient so am assuming it will be a wonderful present. You have to be very careful because this comes in blueray, high def and wide screen. He specifically informed me that he had to have the high def version because the others would either not work or be as good on his TV.Read full review...
