Enchanting;narator Sigourney Weaver not David the Brit!
Quality is eggs cell ant. I did want the video narrated by David Atenborough; this one is narrated by Sigourney Weaver. Apparently the Discovery channel released this version after the BBC version. If you want the BBC version just look in the upper left corner of the cover and you will see BBC in big letters. However, the quality of this BluRay version is EXTRAORDINARY Everyone on " Planet Earth " should see this captivating series. Planet Earth in Blu Ray is the COMPLETE PACKAGE!!
Stunning footage! Just the high def quality makes this a worthwhile purchase. I have never seen such stunning visuals. If you are a Discovery Channel nut like myself then you will be in heaven. This is hours of visual enjoyment. A great way to get your kids to learn a little about the planet. My son was engrossed. If you choose to pick this up you can't go wrong.
Plus I was able to get this set for about $35 less on eBay than in a retail store. Product was brand new, never opened just as advertised. Great deal all the way around!Read full review...
Outstanding BBC video series!! A must see in a lifetime!!
Clearly one of the world's greatest documentaries on this Bluray collection! Totally fascinated with this series. Very educational and the photographers did an outstanding job. The commentary was the best! No one could do it better! You could never get bored watching this Planet Earth series! One of the greatest experiences you'll ever see in your lifetime without personally doing it yourself. Amazing that the people involved with this production could put this on video! Esta serie de documental esta espectacular, el que tenga la oportunidad de comprarsela de verdad se la recomiendo. Te da una vision de la naturaleza increible, y si tienes un blueray player de verdad te recomiendo tengas esto en tu coleccion la imagen es impresionante el color de la naturaleza es como si estuvieras ahi de verdad comprenla es muy buena, ademas de que aqui en ebay la puedes conseguir a un buen precio.
En mi opinion esta serie seria bueno para la educacion ya que te muestra lo precioso que es nuestro planeta, y ayuda a que las personas valorizen lo que tenemos y ayuden al problema del Calentamiento Global que es un problema que Naciones, religiones,razas,niveles sociales debemos uninirnos como un solo grupo lo cuales somos seres humanos y esta es nuestra casa y se no esta deteriorando y por mas dinero que tengamos por mas poderoso que seamos por mas famoso que seamos no tenemos otra esta es nuestra unica casa, asi que departamentos que se encangan en la educacion este es un buen producto para despertar conciencia en la Humanidad.Read full review...
Picture is amazing and the sound explodes.
This is exactly why you should buy blu-ray. The picture is absolutely amazing with colors and clarity you won't get on a regular DVD. When you coule that with the sound, you can almost feel like you are actually in the scene itself. I would recommend this documentary to anyone with the equipment capable of the blu-ray experience. The narration is also a key ingredient in this experience. Overall the entire set was hard not to watch all at once.Read full review...
An Outstanding Documentary...
This version has the original narration by David Attenborough which aired on the BBC, not Sigorney Weaver like the Discovery Channel version... Excellent video quality on the Blu-ray transfer... There are a couple very short scenes which are in SD due to the camera not being able to handle the depts of the oceans... My only gripe is this should have been on dual-layer format which would have only taken 2 discs; instead it's on single-layer 4 discs...Read full review...
Great Gift from my friend
I got this this set of Blu-ray 'Planet Earth - The Complete Collection' from my friend as a New Year Gift.
I really appreciated this gift when I received and opened it, but did not have the player which can play the Blu-Ray Discs. Can't help! I have to pay for new Blu-Ray player.
But, after I seen this documentary. All things could not explain, you have to see. It really great!

Best HD Docummentary Series EVER
Having seen this series on the BBC HD Channel I would recommend this series to anyone that has a Interest in Documentarys and has a Blu Ray player, and can safely say you havent seen anything like this before, the amount of detail the HD Cameras add to this is out of this world and the high production values make this a must have for anyone with a slight interest in the world that surronds us.
