This is the newest & best documentary so far about our planet.It can transported me to an awesome journey never imagine...anyone skeptical on our correlation between human kind,the animal kingdom,wind ,water ,earth,should see our amazing "planet" doing her best...-preserving continuos life & well being to we all.I love the idea that with a clear understanding of "Mother Earth" i'll spread the message to care about the only think that is taking so much destruction and keep giving without a question however, our children & grandchildren will pay the toll if we don't act quickly & save our only hope to survive.Read full review...

Planet earth DVD

I bought this set of DVD's for Christmas presents for my nieces and grandson's. A friend had told me about them and when we watched a clip from ones's she had purchased I knew it was a wonderful and very educational item for kids. I also thought it would help them in school with reports and projects that they might do for science. I feel kids need more educational things to watch than some of the trash that is out there now. These are done so wonderfully and it keeps your attention and you don't get bored with any of it. Plus the price was very nice. When I told my friend about finding them on ebay and what I paid for them she about died cause she paid way much more for her sets that she bought. I now have her going and looking on ebay first for items before she goes and looks else where. Thank you for such wonderful items like these. WOW is all I can say. Planet Earth is Awesome!

I don't agree with evolution. How can't creationism be celebrated in this incredible documentary? Evolution is impossible but the authors want you to believe that evolution is possible. Instead, creation and a God created world is ultimately presented. The BBC wants a viewer to believe in evolution but watching this incredible series only strengthens the creationist viewpoint. I am so sorry that Mr. Attenborough and the staff at BBC don't support a creationist viewpoint. Without God, this entire series is impossible. Thank you Mr. Attenborough. Even though you don't agree with my viewpoint, it is evident that God does exist and that without Him, the beauty and awesome earth that you present is impossible. The truth is coming through. PLANET EARTH

This is an wonderful series! While I watch many 'nature' and 'science' programs, I have to admit that most have their boring moments, and I seldom want to watch any of them twice. I bought this series for myself and have watched it alone, and with my kids and grandkids. I gave two sets as Christmas gifts last year and Just bought another set as a gift.
The photography is absolutely breathtaking.
With all the environmental problems, I fear many of the places and animals we see could soon exist only on such films. Hopefully seeing this will inspire people to take whatever steps are needed to preserve this awesome world we live in, and also see that we need to share it with so many wonderful species.Read full review...

Planet Earth

I wanted to purchase "Planet Earth" since seeing bits and pieces of it on the television, but the $100.00 price tag hindered my purchase. I think it would also make a great Christmas present and not only to those interested in geography and the state of earth. It is a wonderful educational tool and should be furnished or purchased for all school districts. The DVD is everything I had hoped for. The photography is breathtaking and the narration only enhances what you see. The background music is appropriate. When I found it on Ebay at a fraction of the cost, I jumped for joy. Planet Earth ~ A MUST FOR PARENTS!!!

I ordered this DVD set because my 7 yr old loves animals. We got a BBC dvd of some Polar Bears but she wanted more. I had seen a little bt of the special on tv, and thought this would be a great set to have. I love it!! It is very thorough and is so interesting that I could repeatedly watch it and not get bored. It gives you a whole knew outlook on our planet, the animals, enviroment, plants. I think that every parent should buy this for their children. It is one of the best DVDS I have ever seen. Great collection perfect for the whole family!

We love this DVD set! It has so much information and beautiful footage, our whole family enjoys it! We have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and they love it. My favorite thing about this set is that it is not too graphic for young children. It shows the animals naturally but doesn't focus on the killing/eating of other animals. I am also glad that we bought the BBC set instead of the Discovery Channel set because the narration by David Attenborough, his voice is perfect for this series, I couldn't imagine anyone else narrating it.Read full review...

Best Nature Series Ever!

OMG! If you are a nature buff and have not watched this, you are absolutely missing out!

Since this series came out, there have been many other programs of the like but none with the chops Planet Earth has...they filmed for 5 years to produce the series, and they go places that are breath taking while also being educational and fun to watch.Read full review...

Planet Earth

One of the most beautiful documentaries I have ever seen. I saw it over a year ago on TV and knew I would eventually own a copy. This is the second copy I have purchased and both were gifts. The next copy will definitely be for MY library!

Since viewing this series on TV I have learned to appreciate this planet even more. This planet, especially America is beautiful and like most of us I started taking it for granted. This series is thought provoking, educational and riveting entertainment for the entire family.

One hundred years from now, when they pull this DVD out of a time capsule and I am long gone, I wonder if the viewers will watch idly because it's something they already know and don't take for granted, or watch in tears and disbelief and wonder.....what happened, where did it all go?
