great dvd player in low price

what i like about this product :
1. its cheap, compare with other dvd player with same funtion and ability
2. works with most of .AVI files, i know this cause i got a lot of anime with .avi files, i can`t play some of them
3. it`s compact and slim dvd player

i bought this dvd player cause i want to watch my anime collection which in .avi files in bigger screen since i only got 17" screen monitor, and this dvd player can do that for me

Philips (DVP5140) DVD Player

THis exactly the player I have been looking for! It is not bulky or obtrusive in size, but more importantly, it does exactly what it was advertised to do.
This player works with any region DVD or better yet, you can manually set the region to '0' which then plays all regions. And just as important, it plays NTSC and PAL DVDs with the output playing to an NTSC TV or monitor.
It may not have the specifications for studio work (as I do have studio quality Sony Players), but watching any DVDs with the naked eye, I really can't see the difference.

The product is sleek and slim and will fit just about anywhere no matter how much room you may or may not have. Very understated, yet elegant looking at the same time. Excellent player....but!

The machine works really well and it IS Region Free as long as the other Region is to PAL standard! Fine by me. It doesn't have fast forward/REW buttons: you have to use the NAV' arrows once Play is engaged. Manual download from Phillips/Magnavox site no problem, but DO read it!Read full review...

Great product

DVD player works well, have used it for about a month and everything functions just as if new. I have used it play DVD and have also recorded from DVD player to DVD recorder with no problems.
