Best Protection for your Smartphone. Period.
What good is damage insurance if your phone breaks and you can't get a replacement right away?
That's why I've been using Pelican Pro cases for ten years on two Samsung phones and this may be the best protection you can get. I've used them on hundreds of miles of backpacking trips without any damage to my phones despite numerous drops. Shock protection is exceptional. I've only replaced them to get nice, clean screens.
These are not waterproof since the clear face has openings for speakers and camera, but can at least give you time to rescue a phone before it's fully immersed.

Be SURE of which phone you have (S9 OR S9+) - the cases are different! With that being said . . . . I've dropped my phone many times while in a Pelican case (no damage) - they are great.

Good case very durable
Good case with the exception of it's not completely sealed so it lets some dirt and debris in so you have to take it apart for cleaning some what often depending on conditions you've been in
