Add a small screw and problem solved

There is nothing to hold this product in the grip frame. I installed mine and drilled a tiny hole where the hole in the lower rear of the grip frame already exists through the frame plug. Took a short black self tapping screw and snugged it up. You could also drill the plug and tap it for a headless set screw like most of the mag wells come with but either way the plug will not fall out now and the screw looks just like any other gun with a mag well or a slug plug installed.Read full review...

Looks great - but not functional

I purchased this slug plug for my Gen-3 Glock 21 (45ACP). When inserted into the handle, it fits flush and looks great. Unfortunately, its only held in place by friction. Thus, after the 1st shot on the range it fell out onto the floor. I re-inserted the slug plug by inserting more pressure and again it fell out. I guess I could glue it in place, but am not currently prepared to make that permanent adhesion to my Glock..

Based upon this, I would NOT recommend this product.

Fills the hole

This one fits a little tighter than the last one I had. The one that fell out at the range somewhere when I was shooting last time. It does look better than just having the hole there. Makes it look more finished looking. Think maybe this one might stay in a little better. We'll see when I go to the range next time. I was thinking if it did fall out again, maybe a little Loctite on certain places around the plug or inside the well will help it stay in there better.Read full review...

PGFI20SF insert for Glock 20SF

Overall the insert is good and for the price I will be using it. My only concern is that this model does not have any type of built in retention. It relies on friction only. It has worked loose from carry alone. I haven't fired the gun with it installed but I'm fairly certain it would work free under the recoil of the model 20.Read full review...

my last one fell out after the first shot from my G20

Yeah, first day at the range with the Glock 20 and this special 'plug'. Yeah, huge plus one the cosmetics, but the dang thing fell out after just firing the 10mm round just once. And these are the easy going rounds, like only 1,100 feet/sec. I don't like using loctite or glue, but appears I must or keep losing these things at the firing range.Read full review...

Falls out every time I fire my Glock.

I bought this item and installed it yesterday before the range. Every time I shot my first round, the cap fell out so I had to use silicone to glue it in place. Good thing it’s cheap because it doesn’t function well.Read full review...

It’s works... kinda

I have a different brand plug in another Glock I have. It uses the little hole on the inside to retain it, This one is held in just by friction. It Fell out after box of shells, nothing a little crazy glue didn’t fix but That shouldn’t be necessary.Read full review...

Great idea, falls short

I bought this for a G21SF. The plug fits fine and looks fine. The problem is there is no retention for this model, so it works it's way loose when carrying and falls out when shooting. Other model Glocks may be fine, but not a great solution for g21.Read full review...

This Fell Short - Literally

It looked good, slipped right in, and shazzam, my G21 was plugged. One trip to the range and it was gone. If you shoot the gun it falls out, unlike the G17 version for some reason, which stayed put. This isn't a spurious result; I've bought several of these and none of my G21s now have plugs after a range session. The G17s and 19s still have theirs. I'm not some doofus who bought a gun last week and wowie zowie it went bang. I've been doing this since the Sixties.Read full review...

Does fit a Glock 30S also

I took a chance and ordered one of these thinking that I may need to modify it to fit my Glock 30S. When I received it I took out my Glock 30S and believe it or not, it just slid right in and fit perfect. It is a little short to be flush but it covers the hole perfectly and fits snug.
Just thought I would share for those looking for one to fit a Glock 30S which they do not make yet.
