Nice lens

I just bought this to shrink the size of my Pen P1 when I don't need one of the tele's or a longer prime. It almost makes the camera pocketable. I clicked 'yes' for durable only because I've never had a problem with a Zuiko lens and don't expect to with this. Nice and fast, sharp images, and seems to focus faster that my longer lens'. Plus it wasn't much more expensive than a body cap so getting real picky seems silly. I'm pretty picky otherwise about my lens' and I have no complaints with this one and it serves a valid purpose for me so I rated it 5 stars.Read full review...

Great little lens

Nice sharp image. It's compact and easy to carry around. Now fits into my smaller bag - no big lens sticking out so going to be great for street photography and looking forward to our holidays.
17mm seems just right for this type of photography with my MFT Olympus.Read full review...

Great lens for everyday use, best value.

I bought this lens for my Olympus EP-2. I mainly use old Minolta manual focus lenses, but I wanted to have a small compact lens.
This is lens is perfect for everyday shooting. The size of the lens makes the camera almost pocketable. The image quality is pretty good for the price, but doesn't compare to the legacy lenses that I use, like the Rokkor 50mm/1.4.
The Auto-focus motor is a bit slower than most DSLRs I have used, but I have not used any other Micro-4/3 lenses.
This lens is focus-by-wire, and I like that when you turn the focus ring, it triggers the camera's peeking mode.

Small, light and renders quite nicely

I have used many Micro Four Thirds lenses, but keep coming back to this one as a one-lens prime solution for small camera bodies (currently I am using a Panasonic GM5). it's truly tiny, fast to focus (though not the fastest among modern Micro Four Thirds lenses) and has pleasing rendering with punchy, strong colors and good bokeh on subjects that are close to the camera. It's not the sharpest lens, but more than makes up for it in other areas, and the value can't be beat.Read full review...

Forget the viewfinder

Bought the 17mm f2.8 lens, which is truly great. It's compact, well designed and bright. Definition and sharpness is excellent. I bought the lens with the viewfinder. The viewfinder is a total joke. The image you get from the viewfinder is not accurate, which forces you to still use the screen for accurate shots. For casual shooting it will probably do, but its a poor attempt to make the Olympus Pen cameras what they are not (viewfinders).Read full review...

Great compact, fast lens for general photography

Overall an excellent lens for all-around photography. Small, light, slim profile, it turns an Olympus E-P1 or E-PL1 into a true pocket compact camera. Great for street photography, landscapes, interiors; fast autofocus. Only improvement would be to make the lens build a bit more substantial, i.e., heftier and less plasticky but that seems to be the standard for most non-Pro lenses these days. A great buy.Read full review...

Great prime lens to keep on your camera

A superb pancake 17mm f2.8 (34mm equivalent) lens to leave on your Olympus camera. Excellent optics and great images!

An amazing prime lens and quite affordable!

Works great on my Lumix GX85, very sharp image, super fast AF! One of the big advantages of M43 camera is that you get access to so many options of great lenses at super low prices!

Lens for all occassions

The lens is a flat, pancake size that matches Pen 8 model just perfectly. I can carry this and do the street photography and candid easily. The 17mm pretty much covers from wide landscape to narrow space. Versatile indeed.Read full review...
