Get it now!

A replacement for my original copy. Odelay is one of the best and probably the most interesting album of the 90s.

No Losers here!

I always liked Beck's music, but I clearly didn't realise how much until I saw him live at the V festival this summer. I was really enjoying the show (the band were amazing), but I suddenly had a revalation - I knew all the lyrics to the songs, which was odd as I didn't own any of the albums! Anyway, this prompted me to get my act together and buy some. Started off with Odelay (the breakthrough album) and also bought a couple of others. The album is brilliant, really good music and Beck's vocals fit perfectly in a strangely stoned sounding way. I was also really pleased with the quality of the CD I bought - the previous owner had taken good care of it.

If you've listened to a few of Becks tracks on the radio and you liked them, then buy the album. It really is great and well worth it. I will certainly be buying the latest release too.

Beck - Odelay

This, his second album, produced by The Dust brothers, was even better than his debut, and established him as a major player.
He almost recklessly mixes lots of influences, from Grunge to Hip Hop, to Blues, he mangles everything up. Sonically he throws everything in including the kitchen sink, Tablas, chains, Harps, carboard boxes, harmoniums, feedback.... This just shouldn't work, but the genius of it is that it does...it makes perfect sense in the way more conventional stuff never could...and there are some great tunes here that will stay with you long after the CD goes back in the box. At the time of Odelay, nobody was mashing stuff up like Beck. A must have in your collection!Read full review...

Brilliant!

Beck at his very top. Highlights of the album start at track 1 and ends at track 14. Yes that is the entire cd! For anyone who likes beck even just a little bit, well worth checking out.

Beck - Odelay

Good album, bought it because I had recentley bought Guero and Information and Odelay was mentioned in the top 100 albums on Channel4 so thought I would give it a go. I have to say its not as good as Guero and Information but still a good enough title to add to your collection.Read full review...

You've got to like him...

Always liked Beck.
But you have to like him. He has a very unsual sound that is not for everyone.
Devils haircut will be recognisable to a lot of people.
