Although I haven't put a lot of miles on these yet, they hold up pretty well to rough and tumble use. Since portable CD players are becoming harder (read "unreasonable") to find, I bought several of these as replacements for my daughter. I and she have used one intensely for a while and it has not failed to carry on. Sound quality is OK but not exceptional, The FM radio function is handy but is highly dependent on location and the type of headphone used. I have made repeat purchases. Soooooo.Read full review

Somewhat disappointed
You get what you pay for! I wanted a CD player that would work for books on CD but when you move this one in any way it skips. The on/off switch doesn't work unless you are lucky and if you turn it off you have no way to get back to the point where you left your story. I only paid $10 so I really can't complain. Has a USB port for powering the player - great for saving on batteries!
This is the best personal CD player because it has a USB port where you can charge w/ a regular cell phone USB charger. I am able to use it without going through so many AA batteries. It does also use batteries, but it's so convenient to have the USB port as well. Can also use it in your car w/ the USB port, again saving batteries! I haven't found any others that have this feature. So i got 2 since it's getting harder to find CD players at all anymore.Read full review

Love the portable CD player!
Incredible value for the money! Plays well, sound quality excellent, easy to use, seems easy on batteries -- I've played 3 full-length CDs on one set of batteries, and still counting. With a 3.5mm stereo cable plugged in to the auxiliary port in my Renegade, it plays in the car. It takes bumps on the car well. There does seem to be a small amount of skip in the car, but it doesn't coincide with the bumps. But all in all, GREAT value for the money!Read full review
