Never Thought I would be Free from Pain Again!
Every night I could not sleep from the constant ringing pain in my joints. Been seen by orthopedists, neurologists, rheumatologists, & even by psychiatrists who put me on Cymbalta. My knee was hugely enlarged & full of hot red inflammation. They could see a huge amount of visible bone changes & inflammation in my knee & all over my body. Having ruled everything out, they finally admitted that they had no idea what the cause was.
I am not a person who wants pain medication because I have to function every day. I did take 550 mg of Naprosyn every day which helped, but had to stop taking it because it was starting to damage my stomach. My major concern was that I was losing the ability to function. It took me 3 or 4 hours after I woke up to walk, & I could not walk without holding onto something. I live in a two-story house & I could hardly go up & down the stairs or carry anything. I became physically disabled, although I was loath to admit it.
Finally, having no where else to turn, I saw a chiropractor. He was a Godsend! He suggested that I take Glucosamine Chondrotin as soon as possible. Being a knowledge junkie, I researched the brands until I found what I believed was the very best & most highly recommended product... Nutramax Cosamine ASU. After a few days I could just get out of bed & start walking! I now sleep well at night because I am free from pain. I still have a certain amount of pain when I move, but I can sit or lie down & be totally free from pain when not moving. This used to be a great product
I took this product for years because It eliminated the joint pain I experienced. But then recently, after ordering a refill, after a few weeks my joint pain came back. I called the company to find out why and learned that they have reformulated it, adding something called AKBA. They said it is equally effective, but I disagree. Prolonged my running
I am a runner - I was diagnosed with arthritis in one of my knees. I take mobic for the the pain. I started taking Nutramax Cosamin ASU about 4 years ago. Is this a proven remedy? Well - All I know is that I run an average of 6 miles a day, 5-days a week with longer runs on the weekend. I complete several half-marathons and 1-2 marathons a year. Did I mention I'm more than 55 years old?
