This unit is super light, easy to use, very high quality. The screen is easy to use and understandable.
I took the unit to the AT&T store and they installed a new sim card and was up and running with ease. The AT&T sales person stated that he wished they still offered this specific unit.
Pros: Simple to use, quick link up, good wifi range, great battery life
Cons: This unit is no longer "offered" at AT&T, all manuals indicate that you must log into a special web site to make security link changes like: change password and unit name and the web site is no longer up and running. I have written Novatel directly and have not received an answer yet. There is no way to make security changes to the unit without going through the site.Read full review...

Worked for 33 days...
2 star only because it worked upto to 30 day warranty mark. Currently sits on the startup screen and has been "thinking" for over 3 hours. Maybe good when it was a new item, but would not recommend a refurbished one.
Attempted a reset, did not correct the problem, pulled the SIM and tried again... no good.
Battery does last for 2-3 days on a full charge with regular use and for about 12 hours of continuous use. So that's a positive for this item.Read full review...

Bought this item to install at a location where other internet connections are not reliable or very expensive. Got into 4G LTE right away, tried it with three internet carriers in Argentina, Claro. Movistar and Tuenti. Usually will run without any hiccups but freezes or stops data every 3 to 4 weeks at a time. Just a restart and good to go. Is a great solution where other internet access is not an option.

Great entry-level hotspot device!
I got this as a gift before but I messed mine up (my fault) and wanted to get another. I used this with my AT&T Mobile Data Plan.
Highlights:
- It's definitely entry-level as far as operation and capabilities, considering the average price you'll find this device.
- Battery life is decent and is charged via Micro USB.
- It has a very small form factor. Looks about the size of a playing card in width and depth, with a fairly thin body minus the battery compartment.
- It's also light.
- Operated through touchscreen, but mostly managed by a internet browser portal once connected to.
- Can get warm with heavy usage and bright screen settings.
- Can connect up to 10 devices.
- Have fun naming your own network and setting up your own passwords!
Given the price of the product, it's a fair deal for this product and its performance is decent. I will note that I have used a different hotspot device (something among the highest caliber) and I will have to say this doesn't provide the max speeds, but it's still workable.
If you're on a budget and just want decent tether speeds, this will do. If you desire the absolute best speeds and are willing to pay for a device that justifies it, look higher. The devices really do matter. I got average 10Mbps download speed on mine, but have gotten 50+ on flagship devices.
