Limit DOF

This is one of the really super Nikkor lenses and it really doesn'y matter what kind of pictures you shoot. It's a great portrait lens for animals, flowers, people, you name it. The f1.8 allows you to severly limit you depth of field and it doesn't limit your depth of wallet like the f1.4 does. It's just a great piece of glass!Read full review...

Nikon Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D AF Lens

This lens is fast, sharp and compact. It is a fine medium telephoto lens for my Nikon D300 and is also a good portrait lens for photos of my granddaughter.

Great Lens!

We loved the lens plus we needed it the lens for our new studio. The lens is also great for shots taken in low light areas and fast enough to take sports shots.

Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D Lens

Very affordable Nikon glass. Great for portraits or indoor sports with poor light or a lot of speed. I used it to shoot NCAA gymanstics this weekend and am very pleased.
