A camera of many virtues: a great step up from the Point-and-Shoot models!

This camera is comparable to the L-120 Coolpix, which I recently brought to Europe and damaged while there. This camera is light, very portable, easy to use and to customize. The magnification is quite good, and it has a reasonably good stabilization system. It's a great camera for a person who wishes to take a step beyond a point-and-shoot, but does not want to go to a full-scale Single-Lens-Digital-Reflex. I generally use Canon's for my heavy-duty camera, but I was happily surprised by the reliability and usefulness of the Nikon Coolpix series. It's definitely a good substitute when I don't want to lug around my camera bad. The only negative is that the lens will not open with the lens cap on, unlike many other models. It can be a nuisance, but it's pretty minor compared to this camera's virtues.Read full review...

I recommend the Nikon Coolpix L810 to all that wants a good camera

I bought this camera before leaving out on vacation, well worth the money. It is easy to use once you learn all the features of the camera. The only down side is it does take a little time to auto focas. Wife realy had hard time with this. Over all I would and will recommend to anyone.Read full review...

Worth it for the money!

It's actually a really good camera for the cost. Photo quality is pretty good, and many function capabilities. Good for new photographers. However I did find it lacking in areas. Video capabilities are crap and multi-shot function (continuous shot*) starts freezing after about 5 shots (can't keep up).Read full review...

So far so Good

Just got back from vacation and the camara worked Great. The zoom is outstanding to use. Still learning how all the features work. For starters the (easy auto) mode made it a Great point and shoot.Have not used the video mode yet so can't comment on that. I used AA lithum batterys took over 200 pics and still shows lots of life left. Have Not had any problems with this camara so far, and would recommend this camara to anyone.Read full review...

Over all Great Camera...Even if mine had to be returned.

I bought it to have a small point and shoot camera.The picture quality is great,unless you fully extend the zoom,gets a bit grainy.The video mode is good quality,also.I had it for 18 days.We went to the zoo and I ended up passing it off to hubby as I went back to my favorite camera my Nikon D40 and by the end of the day it had a error message "in watchdog mode" which I could not find in the owners manual or when I googled it.I took it back to the store where I bought it to exchange it but they had no more in stock so I had to take a refund.Nikon is a great brand but I think I go for a model alittle less expensive since I ended up going back my older Nikon,anyway.Read full review...
