Nikon 70-300 VR Lens

An excellent lens by Nikon, you can buy Tamron and others at far less money. However the imitators do not come close to Nikon in build or optical quality. There is a vast difference!

Great telephoto lens and excellent value.

Good value but not as robust as you would like

This is a great lens for taking quick shots while zooming.

However, be very careful how you handle it.

I dropped mine recently and see that one of the plastic bits that has rollers on them has had the end chopped off.

The only way to fix it with spares it is to replace the VR motor unit.

Shame that the lens wasn't designed otherwise in perhaps using metal screws instead but it is still a great lens to have.Read full review...

Not an upgrade from the Nikkor 55-300.

I bought this lens as an upgrade from the Nikkor AFS VR 55-300, but it did not live up to expectations. The lens is heavier than the 55-300 but it does not auto focus as well. Overall, my pics are not as sharp as with the other lens. A disappointment.Read full review...
