Great Product.

As a package this is excellent value, everything you need in a one shop offer. If you are a novice photographer it may seem a little daunting all those buttons and multi screen functions. I think a walk through video would be a great aid for anyone moving up from a typical point and shoot camera to this moderately technical and more advanced camera. Perhaps an on line video could be produced to give a manual instruction for this purpose? Though I empathise with the paperless manual it is of little use if out in the field and you do not have laptop facilities to use the CD manual if you hit a problem.

The name Nikon cries out quality every time when talking cameras, the build and quality is good on all parts in this package, the camera itself feels robust and comfortable in the hand, with control buttons easily used by anyone with big or small hands. The range of lenses and filters are a great asset to improving ones photographic capabilities. There is ample storage space on the two cards provided. The holdall can accommodate all the items you will need in most photo shoots outdoors and on the go. I am still learning about this camera and all it's many features, and I look forward to many years of picture taking with it.

For the camera and the package I would rate it at an easy 9 out of 10.

A good little camera..

Having been a film photographer for over 40 years, I've decided to try out a digital camera for a change. Although I'm not so up on this technology, I bought this entry level Camera to try to get into digital. It seems easy enough to use, but I'm still finding my way around the menu's and programmes. It seems I still have a way to go yet, but I will persevere for now. I'm used to loading a film, setting my aperture, and shutter speed, and shooting from the word go.

All in all, I still prefer both my Nikon F2as' with their motor drives, and the magic of the darkroom.

Nikon D3200

Had a bridge camera and wanted to progress. May be a little dated (2012) but don’t be fooled. Excellent piece of kit . Ideal for learning , understanding and developing camera skills. Great value and confirmed by my “Anorak” camera friend.Read full review...

The Nikon D3200 is a perfect upgrade to the D3000

My previous camera was a Nikon D3000 and I knew this was a good camera for my needs. I was looking for an upgrade on this model, and so far it has met all my expectations.I am very pleased with this camera and the results have been very good.Read full review...

Nikon D3200

It will be a great camera once I have learned to use it, coming from a Nikon Coolpix L830 this camera is definitely 'heavy', but that is offset by the colour as I hate big black blobs, enough in this world id black so this camera is a breath of fresh air to look at.Read full review...

Easy to use even for beginners

I'm writing this review as a newbie in this field. Like I've just started to photograph as a hobby.

It's a relatively small and compact camera, easy to handle thanks to its clear signs on the buttons, even for a newbie as I am.
It has no all the functionalities and capabilities (much more like) than a more upper level of camera as it should be, but anyone who is just starting this hobby or to learn how to make good photos out of different scenes, it's a good start then, at least as I see. Of course with lenses as it has F mount it has lots of possibilities to use with, which also helps to make a better camera.

The leading entry to intermediate level DSLR

Having researched the various brands and models of entry level and above DSLR cameras, I had no hestation in buying the D3200. Firstly, its weight and handling are excellent. It has plenty of features from the higher level cameras, but is easy to use. It has a large viewing screen at the rear and a very good range of 11 focusing points through the viewer. However, the feature that stands out for me in this camera is its 24.2 mp standard, which is head and shoulders above other cameras. Perhaps my only doubt was its lack of waterproofing against the Pentax K5, but its nearest rival, the Canon 550, and the other Canon range simply do not match this camera for picture clarity.

My only gripe with Nikon is that they refer to a warranty card, which the approved repairers say is no longer used and is not required.
