Longggg time user of S51 - LOVE it!

Pros: I've used this wonderful lightweight Coolpix S51 as my hiking & purse camera for many years with a high degree of satisfaction. My brother-in-law, who is a camera connisseur, recommended it highly. It's light, has easy to access settings, and takes GREAT photos! People constantly compliment the quality of my photos taken with the S51.

Recently I fell on my little old S51, crashing it hard against a rock, ending it's life. Though I entertained the purchase of a lot of other models, I've returned to this little gem because, for the $$, it's by far the best buy, imho.

Cons: A slightly delayed focus time (as compared to newer models) has cost me a few unique pics over the years.

I've just purchased TWO Nikon Coolpix S51's off eBay ... that's how much I like the model, and plan to continue to use this model :)Read full review...

Great All Around

One of the best cameras I have ever used. Nikon scored when they made this camera. In all reality 8MP is all a normal person would need. You could blow these pictures up to poster size and still look great. Unless you plan on making a huge banner then 8MP will do you fine. Flash works great. All setting are easy to set and use. Auto focus works great. Only downfall is the fact that it does not fit a normal mini usb cable, you have to use a Nikon specific usb cable which is expensive to replace if you lose yours.Read full review...

looks like a good item, and a good ebay experience

This camera was presented accurately and attractively as a compact large format point-and-shoot camera with additional features. The rechargeable battery was included, but there was no memory card or battery charger, so I could not use this camera. The winning bid price seemed low for this camera, so I listed the camera in another ebay auction, and got my purchase price back. Not a bad deal.Read full review...

coolpix cam

the camera was in excelent condition. it works like a charm, exept for one thing. it doesnt accept memory cards. i tried like ten, even new ones; it keeps saying "memory is write protected" since i got it. I am stuck with only the usage of the internal memory.. but othier than that it's fine.Read full review...

Nikon Super Coolpix s51

i love it cause it's compact easy to carry around. its also small enough to fit in my pocket. 3x zoom and big screen it's a great camera to take it anywhere with you.

Meh......

I love my old 4 Megapixle Nikon Cool Pix, so I thought this one would be even better. Meh. I'm not a big camera person, but just taking regular "point and click" pictures turned out "pixley" and bad quality. Especially if you try to zoom. It is sleek, thin and easy to use. I got it as a gift for my sister and I really hope she likes it. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't a USB cable with the one I bought, but that's ebay for you. You never really know.Read full review...
