Highly recommended to anyone looking for a very good reliable router

I will make it short and simple.

In the past i have used several Net-gear router and this is by far the best.
- Easy to set up
-unbelievable 2.4 GHz throughput and range
-guest network is also very easy to set up
-there are several advanced configurations options
-the NAS is not the fastest but I can access all my file over the internet.

There is only one thing i do not like and that is the range of the 5GHz band. Other than that it is a very good router wit a lot of options.

Cheap, reliable and ultra effective.

Have owned (and still do own) a number of these over the years. With everyone wanting the latest and greatest, these are always showing up on ebay dirt cheap. They are reliable, easy to mod (with DD-WRT) and they provide very good performance (near 100mbps true performance).Read full review...

Not the latest, but a solid choice in dual-band router w/ guest net login

So far, this router has been excellent. I wanted it for the gigabit Ethernet ports, but found its dual-band Wi-fi to be a nice bonus. The symmetric mounting base which mounts only on one side I saw as a minor limitation, but I decided to wall mount it and it was extremely easy to do that. I was substituting this for an older Netgear router so setup was simple. I just set this one to match the older one and swapped it in. Had to reconnect a few devices, but most others just switched over by themselves. The lights on the device are a bit small and hard to see with it mounted high on a wall, but that is not really a fault of the device. As for reliability, that will have to be seen, but it's been a month or so and it's been running just fine.Read full review...

I like the brand, it's fast, and was easy to set up.

I like Netgear hubs, and this replaced an older model that served me well. So far, it is working well. It was easy to set up and my connections are faster.

The Netgear WNDR3700 was my choice after evaluating others. I'm satisfied.

After a 15-minute setup using the Netgear CD the 3700 has performed flawlessly for several months. I use all four ports for wired stationary connections and the powerful wireless for laptops at distances of a few hundred feet. Guests and family visitors think that they are in their favorite Coffee Shop wireless "hotspot". Even with heavy usage--4 wired ports and several Wi-Fi users no degradation has been noticed. I replaced a Netgear 614 with the 3700 for increased speed and range. The unit is great looking whether installed vertically using the detachable base or horizontally. Using mine horizontally I was able to conceal six cables by drilling and installing a grommet and cable management system underneath.Read full review...

Excellent Product

High reliability, excellent signal strength for home or small business, what more do you need? Rear USB feature is great for sharing files, etc., without having to fully network your set-up.

Great performance, feature rich, good value for money

I purchased this router to replace a 7 years old router. I wanted better network performance and after a month of using it I can say for sure that I got it. My house is wired for Ethernet and now that most of the clients are gigabit capable, I get to enjoy it. WiFi is much improved, though I did not try streaming over WiFi very much.
The HTML frontend, the Genie, took me some getting used to and I was not able to set everything up to my liking.
I very much like the WiFi on/off switch at the front of the device, since most of the time I don't need it and prefer to reduce the radiation indoors.
The guest network is a nice feature, you can be hospitable and maintain your privacy.

Overall Best in Class, it's a dd-wrt favorite. Netgear WNDR3700

Regardless of price, this router is at the top of the list. With features more expensive routers lack. It has one the fastest processors-680mhz, more RAM and flash. Two MIMO radios, true simultaneous dual-band. 6 internal antennae. It can use open source firmware that really unlock it's potential. Custom firmware turns this into something that would cost you $$Hundreds. You'd have to spend three to fours times more to get a better component and it still might not operate as well. I know because I build antenna arrays and buy and sell wireless equipment.Read full review...

Best WiFi internet TV Router

Couldn't get my Cisco Links System Dual Band N router to work with my internet ready TV and couldn't get Cisco Tech Help. Decided to try NetGear3700. Followed simple instructions and had instant successful results. Couldn't be happier! Works great and highly reccomend this product. Also have better and faster wireless laptop internet connection. The NetGear way out performs the Cisco. Will never buy another Cisco product. NetGear is the way to go.Read full review...
