NVIDIA SHIELD TV Streaming Media Player with Remote and Game Controller

Newer is not necessarily better

I've been known to go for an older model on some items, and this was just such a case. My TVs are 1080P; I'm quite satisfied with them until such time as they eventually fail and would need to be replaced. I don't have 4K service here.so the 4K support features of allied devices are superfluous and irrelevant. Also had no interest in Alexa (which could be listening in on all sorts of things) etc., so those later features are not needed or wanted here. In regard to these Nvidia Shield models, I preferred having the micro-SD card slot to the dual USB ports. So, this earlier model happened to be the right fit for me. It has been a very good product, reliable, superior to competing brands in this category, and it well covers the functionality I was looking for. I absolutely love my NVIDIA Shield! I would highly recommend to anyone who wants one of, if not the best streaming Android box. It's super easy to set up and use.
