A scent suitable for the office.
The cologne is good. It has a scent suitable for the office. It is not overpowering and has no scent of flowers. It isn't long lasting, it requires frequent reapplication. I would still recommend it. However, I didn't care much for the box it was shipped in. 7x5x5 does fit in my standard size mailbox, but it fits so tightly that I couldn't get my fingers around it. Pungent old man odor
I was very excited to try this cologne because based on other reviews it is supposed to smell like Creed Aventus, which is supposed to be the creme de la crem. However upon using this cologne it immediately gave me an Old Spice leathery old man vibe. One of my freinds at work even told me I smelled like a 60 year old. Gentlemen this is a Perfect 3 Season Masculine Scent
Many people like to compare Monte Blanc Explorer to Creed Aventus. It's not. I have both. However there is a hint of one of the notes in the opening that is similar. That said, Explorer is a wonderful and definitely masculine scent for daily use that doesn't have to mimic Aventus to stand alone as a great fragrance. I'm about to re-order my second bottle. At $40. to $50. for a 3.3 oz bottle online, it's a great buy. The projection is moderate, which I prefer. I don't like a cologne that enters a room before I get there. I believe a man's scent should be present at talking distance, or closer. You'll probably get about 4 to 5 hours out of the morning spray, and use it again in the afternoon. It's also a perfect scent for spring summer, and fall, if you're like me and don't want to smell like a lemon, a flower, or a fruit, as most summer fragrances inevitably do.
