Milwaukee 12v batteries

The Milwaukee 12v XC 4.0 batteries are a great addition to anybodies tool box. I own a bodyshop and use Milwaukee 12v cordless tools eveeyday. They are a great investment as they speed up repairs and have plenty of power to pull off fenders, bumpers, doors, and many other parts of automobiles. I also use them for all of my woodworking projects and they have plenty of power to do just about any job. I personally have all of the origional 12v tools, they aren't even the brushless Fuel models and i have LOTS of runtime and power to complete multiple jobs without needing a charge. I highly recommened all of the milwaukee cordless tools for anyone.Read full review...

Disappointed

When I ordered the product it was for 2 batteries at the same price as I got just 1 for with the explanation that the 1 was an upgrade however the 1 I received was not even a milwaukee product it works but I don't have high hopes for it to last as long as the original would. I have been a very long time user of Milwaukee products and have found them to be very dependable, I was a general contractor for 40+years and never had a problem with Milwaukee products. Great investment in reliable power for your M12 tools.

Milwaukee makes some of the very best tools available and their cordless ones will compete with most any of the corded variety out there. I rely on numerous M12 and M18 tools daily and this 4.0Ah battery is a great addition. The Milwaukee brand batteries are superior to any other brand that I've found in performance and longevity. This 4.0 Ah battery has great power and lasts a long time without re-charging in all of the tools that I use. It is a bulkier battery than the 1.5. 2.0, and 3.0 standard size, but makes up for it in performance.Read full review...

Works great with Milwaukee m12 tools.

As advertised. Good battery life. Great value. They even through in a cheap pair of work gloves and an electrical tester. I thought the fit was loose at first but realized the Milwaukee batteries are the same on my multil-tool. I think it's a decent in that one tool because no such issue with my other M12s. I do wish they out a sticker on the side of the base of the battery as depicted but that really has no bearing on the performance. Read full review...

Best Investment!!!

After getting out of construction and using Dewalt 18v tools for years I wanted to get something more compact and lighter for home and handyman projects. I bought the Milwaukee brand after all the reviews I read about their subcompact line. When I started using a variety of the 12v tools I found that with the small batteries that they just couldn't do the job I needed. But I really liked the quality of their tools so I decided to try the bigger batteries. Wow! What a difference. The tools just came to life. Now I don't miss my Dewalt 18v tools at all. The Milwaukee M12 tool with these batteries are the perfect compromise. Plenty of torque and runtime without the weight.Read full review...

Hard to beat Milwaukee

I have had the 12v line for many years and these larger batteries are great. I use my impact driver every day and these batteries have more power and life than you would ever expect for only 12v.

Xtended charge battery

Milwaukee tools have always been my personal choice for quality tools. I picked these batteries for my bandsaw knowing I would get through my project without a battery loosing it's charge. As always it has worked out perfect.
I get years of service from all milwaukee batteries so the choice is easy to make.

Milwaukee 12 volt 4.0 battery.

These are awesome 12 volt batteries. I use them all day long on just one charge. I would recommend these batteries to anyone that has a 12 volt Milwaukee tool. I didn't expect a 12 volt battery to stay charged so long.Read full review...

Some people.....

First off for credibility, I own many m18 and m12 tools, probably around 30 total, with 27 m12 batteries and 19 m18 batteries, in all mAh ranges. I have taken them all apart, soldered on new resistors to the boards when one fails, tested individual cells to find a bad one in the pack (which either of the two conditions as well as others will make the red/green light and reject charging), and have spot welded cells from sacrificial packs
I tore apart to fix issues.
So, I am familiar with them. I’m nobody special, just had a few people working for me when i ran my own gig for a while, and I enjoy repairing anything i can get my hands on. Again, ANYONE who runs a power tool CAN do the same.

Anyways....

Upon receipt of my purchase of 2) m12 6.0 mAh batteries, the first thing I did was tear one down. At this price I was beyond skeptical, and I dont make NEAR what I used to so replacing the aging Milwaukee batteries began to creep up pretty quickly.
With the numerous mAh vs. discharge rates of cells I wanted to take a closer look at them. Oh and btw, WHY does everyone rant about these being from China??? ALL of the leading battery manufacturers like Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, LG Chem, etc. are ALL made outside of the US. So..... Milwaukee batteries are no exception. AND... It JUUUST so happens that Samsung batteries are made in........yep, thats right....China. Milwaukee uses Samsung. Great product. However, the re-wraps are getting out of hand, so again I was concerned.
Opening up the case, i notice the cage that groups the cells together is something to be desired. But if you’re the type that can keep yourself from throwing stuff when life is unfair, then this is adequate. Even for drops (dropped mine already several times). Also, the nickel that is spot welded across the batteries that tie them together isnt all fancy and perfectly stamped out, but again, BFD.... The wire is of the same gauge tying the batteries to the circuit board, and the circuit board I would say is a step down compared to the Milwaukee ones, but very close. The electronic components on the board are actually of the same values and tolerances assigned to resistors/capacitors/etc. that are used to define how much of a variance of a percentage a certain component needs to operate within, so we are good there too.
The batteries themselves, well..... are LG CHEM. GREAT PRODUCT AS WELL. Rated at 2900 mAh capacity rather than Samsung at 3000 mAh. Yet, LG Chem, Panasonic, and Samsung batteries are notorious for UNDER-rating their batteries, and these LG Chem batteries I tested (just a single battery from the pack) at 2951 mAh after a full charge, full discharge, and full charge test via the OPUS BT-C3400 battery analyzer/charger/refresher. Great charger by the way. Does every size, charge rate, and chemical composition simultaneously. Very useful for prolonging the life of all rechargeable batteries.

SO.....

Combine that with their warranty on the batteries, and you’ve made a great decision.
However, I keep scratching my head trying to figure out the negative reviews about “OH LIFE SUCKS ONE OF THE BATTERIES DIDNT WORK!!! BUYER BEWARE WITH THIS SELLER!! NOTHING BAD SHOULD EVER HAPPEN TO ME OR INCONVENIENCE ME IN ANY WAY BECAUSE IM SPECIAL!!”

I’ve had a few Milwaukee batteries crap out on me after one charge, not take a charge after one month, or, otherwise fail just like in real life where no one and no THING is perfect. Well, except for the folks that are perfect. You can see their reviews all over the place! Just sort the reviews for most critical and buckle up for the thrill of knowing you are reading the words of those that don’t need boats or lifejackets to get across vast lakes and such! They’re out there getting in the morning jog while we are all asleep!

The batteries that just keep giving!

I use these batteries in my small buffer. The buffer really draws a lot of power at once. I used them to buff an entire car. These batteries keep putting out. The harder I use them the better I like them. Thanks for putting out a great product. Read full review...
