Originally released 4 years after John's death now re-released again

Released several years after John Lennon's death this is now the latest incarnation of Milk and Honey which has been put out in digipak by Capitol Records. The material here was the most recent that John & Yoko was finishing right before John's untimely death. Really a companion piece to the just released Double Fantasy the session material here follows along with that material both in form and style. The only song here that really charted (hitting number 10 in the charts at its highest in 1984) was the outstanding "Nobody Told Me". Most people don't know this, but John had originally written the song for what was to be an upcoming release for his fellow Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr. It's the only real stand out song on this release, but all of the other songs really are good too. If your a fan of John then this will be a must own, but if your just a casual fan, then you can find the song (Nobody Told Me) on one of many compilation cd's. Casual music buyers will really only find the one song on here a must own. That is why I can't help but to give it 3 stars.Read full review...
