X-box 360 REFURBISHED.

I got it home, had some small glitchy, little troubles with screen coming on and off,and it drops Internet alot, and has several screens with prompts that no HDMI is detected, but it is,and screen looks formatted for a computer and has NO wide screen like mine used to. It struggles, but I guess it's old and Refurbished so what should I expect. It does work, but likes to GO TO A BLACK SCREEN with sound, and then it will work again, etc. I'm not going to ask to seller for help, cuz he barely answered much of anything else I wanted to know. Grain of Salt....3 out of 5.Read full review...

Xbox360

This was a gift for my 9yr old son. I didn't want to spend $100 of dollars on something he may not like or take care of. This auction clearly stated an issue with the disc tray I haven't had a single problem out of this system. There are many games for the 360 so he has options. I like how I can watch what he plays or downloads I have the Windows phone and there is an app for the Xbox. This is a good product it's fun, easy to use, and entertains for hours!Read full review...

Biggest waste of money...ever...

First off, it lacks its own internal hard drive. MAJOR flaw in the production from the beginning. So if you don't get it with an included one, you'll have to pay extra for one.

Then the controller itself doesn't come with a rechargeable battery pack like other consoles of this generation, you have to buy AA batteries. I thought the battery generation died off after Gameboy Advance SP came out...

It melts. If you leave it on too long without a cooling fan or in a VERY cool basement, it'll overheat and die.

The game selection is not minimal. There are VERY good games on the Xbox 360. HOWEVER, they're not exclusive to the Xbox 360. So why not just get them on the PS3 and get better quality for your money?

The graphics. As much as people will want to say Xbox 360 games look better (like all the little Xbox geeks out there who'll diss EVERYTHING that isn't Xbox), fact of the matter is that PS3 beats it by a mile in that department.

Ok, so the online is better. It connects faster and stays connected in-game most of the time without much lag. HOWEVER (again), you have to PAY to get online and talk to your friends and go play your games online. That's right, Microsoft makes you pay. And for what? The system concentrates so much on being a computer that it lacks everything a game system should have.

The original Xbox was better, end of story. Microsoft was never a gaming company, and although the original Xbox was awsome, the 360 pales. Save yourself the money and just get a PS3 or Wii instead...Actually, better yet, get an original Xbox. So the graphics aren't so "next-gen", atleast you know it won't randomly die on you with 3 blinking red lights...That's right, Microsoft knew it would happened, and planned for it with 3 red lights of death.

I bought this xbox for my brother and so far he loves it! It came quick and at a great price! It was the other version of the 360 so it didn't come with wifi abilities but that's an easy fix! :) Great product! Read full review...

It's OK, but WAY overrated

It's an ok system, I still wouldn't say it's as good as PS3. The HD in 1080i doesn't look good at all, and it sounds like a jet engine when I turn it on, I truely do have trouble hearing the game, and I don't like having the TV super loud, especially not to drown out noise. The exclusives are ok I guess, but not worthy of the praise they get. Halo 1, 2, and 3 - including Reach and ODST - are very repetitive and the story on all of them is horrible in my opinion (Religious aliens?). I guess the fact that you can constantly see a ring above you is cool, but other than that, doing nothing but clearing room after room - having each room look similar to one before it - and re-using the same weapons over and over, isn't quite as fun as people say it is. Gears of war 1 is ok. Once again, not ground-breaking, but it is a good game. One of the games I've yet to play on this system is Alan Wake, which seems to be pretty decent, along with Mass Effect. I plan on getting them soon, hopefully, I won't be wasting my money. Not to mention that I don't have a wired connection in the entertainment room, so I can only connect to Xbox Live using a bridged connection through my laptop (I am NOT paying $100 for wifi!). All in all, I'll cut it short by saying that I could not imagine paying full price for this system, a system that may get the RROD any day now, the only reason I bought this was because a) It was cheap, and b) I wanted to have all three of the 7th generation home consoles. I don't think it would be incredulous to say that the slim is not worth it either, all you get is built-in wifi and less noise, but honestly, because those aren't the only major problems I have with the system, the slim still isn't worth $199 or anything above that.Read full review...

Just another poor quality product from MicroSoft

Here we have yet another poor quality product from MicroSoft. It amazes me how a company can be so successful when nearly everything they make is junk. The xBox 360 in concept is a great product. The games are probably some of the best and the functionality of the system is unmatched, however because of poor design, the system barely makes it out of warranty. A system of this price range should last more than a year or two. The problems that plague the early versions are due to poor design and nothing else. Overheating processors weaken the solder joints on the board and lead to premature failure, or what is know as the "Red Rings of Death", which is the equivilant of the "Blue Screen of Death" so well known among desktop computers and yes, you guessed it, another MicroSoft legend.

In summary, avoid at all costs buying the older early versions. They will fail and even the countless "fixes" that are all over the internet will only offer a temporary solution. Only buy the newest versions available that are made later in 2010.

Pretty good

I’ve had a good time with this Xbox, no bs, it came with the console and controller. I had to supply the hdd, power supply, and the av cables but it wasn’t supposed to come with these anyways, the only problem I have with it is that it’s just loud and I kinda get annoyed, but most Xbox 360s do thatRead full review...

What the MS company does not want you to know

I must say that the company manufacturing the xbox 360 has done
the consumer no favors. By taking shortcuts in the production,
and lack of quality control, you may end up with a product that <br>is being sent off for repair. I have worked on several boxes
that were sent back to the company for repair. There is no way
they even attempted to repair the product. If they did, they
should start over on learning the basics of circuit board repairs.
What a rip off! I opened one that said “For Salvage Only” on
the inside. It came back from MS repair center. Once the heat
sink problem is fixed, the Box is great. (WARNING) Do
not place the added fan to the back of your box. It will over
heat. Try to avoid placing the box on the side. (Even if they
do have little rubber feet there.) Stand up you box and let lots
of air in the area. Keep it from a dust free location. That will
kill your system faster than anything. I enjoy fixing and
sending back system that will work. I try to break my repairs
for over 1 week, leaving them on under extreme conditions. On the
other hand, the MS crew lets the repair on less than 3 hrs.
Just be careful. Enjoy the Systems. The new ones are not free of
the poor craftsmanship/construction either.

Endless Entertainment, great fun!

I have always loved the XBOX especially the XBOX360 great for children and adults of all ages, although I really think this is a bit more of a toy for more mature age. While an Xbox 360 is an investment it is easy to use and there are innumerable games out there for everybody. Beyond video games the XBOX 360 can connect to wifi and you can use it for Netflix, email, Facebook, YouTube and a web browser among many, many other very cool features.Read full review...
