You get a lot for the price

I would really loke to rate this higher but it has one flaw that I just can’t get over. One of the tuning peg holes was drilled crooked so the tuning peg sit a a pretty crooked angle to the head of the violin. It bugs me every time I pick it up. However, it does come with a ton of stuff and it is very reasonably priced. The neck is rough in some places but it is playable. It is definitely good enough to see if you want to play violin or not. Im putting some Dominant synthetic strings on it and im sure ill play around with the set up but it will work to see if my 8 year old wants to play violin with me.Read full review...

Surprisingly good

I purchased mine almost a year ago. This may sound strange...getting a decent set of strings like dominants on this and makes a difference...but I have also noticed that I sounds better the more it was played over time. Unless I am playing "flat" the notes have a nice ringing/resonance to them now. It is not as powerful nor have the tone of my recently acquired 189 year old antique violin...but for what it is and the price I cannot fault it whatsoever.Read full review...
