Meet Pingu- A loveable Penguin in any language!

I had a chance to see a short film that included this mischevious,loveable penguin many years ago. Pingu appeals to a wide audience of all ages and languages. He makes noises and gestures that are universal. Each brief cartoon has a life lesson for Pingu. The claymation animation has visual appeal for young children.
I bought Meet Pingu as a gift for a 2 year old and we expanded our home collection with "Chilling out with Pingu."

Pingu is a life-saver

This dvd is great. I almost never let my child watch tv - no Barney, Disney, even PBS. But Pingu is wonderful - beautiful claymation with gentle stories. This dvd has a variety of Pingu stories - they seem to be randomly selected, but they're all wonderful. I especially like the last one, about an organ grinder. Also, since everyone in Pingu speaks "penguinese" you don't have to have the same insipid dialogue (or worse, songs) running through your head like with most children's videos.Read full review...

Meet Pingu DVD

Very good cartoon for little children. My son is 3 1/2 years old and he has been loving Pingu since he could crawl. Pingu just never seems to get old! pingu teaches chilkdren valuable life lessons such as sharing, caring and others feelings. We like it because he and his fanily have their own "Pingu language". MEET PINGU

I like the fact that my 1 1/2 yr old grand daughter loves it. She cannot say "Pingu", but can say " nuck, nuk". and point to the TV. Insistantly.
She thinks it's funny. So what's for a grandfather not to like?

Great for Pingu fans!

My 18-month old son LOVES Pingu and this is great. He stays occupied the entire time while watching it. The only thing I wish was different was that I wish it was longer! (It is 32 minutes.)

Super cute show

Pingu is so cute. My son loved the show so much we couldn't return the rental until we bought our own copy. I like that you can completely understand what is going on, even though they all speak a made-up language. I just wish the dvd was longer. BEST THING IN THE WORLD!

Love this video, totally appropriate for all ages! Bought it for my mom, but I'd also buy it for my kids! Classic Pingu before it got cheesy and digitally enhanced in later season.

My toddlers love this video. It is quite creative. Only wish they woudl speak English instead of "Penguinese".
