Does its job for under 50 bucks
This is a very generic lower quality device that functions well for what it is.
Featuring cheap build quality with screening which doesn't quite fit on top of noisy hardware, this DVD player does its job. It has no major features beyond upscaling and region 0 support.
Switching between ntsc, pal, and multi-mode is a little buggy. It's very sensitive with scratched dvds. The drive is incredibly noisy so you will hear the spinning the entire time here watching something unless you have the volume rather high.
It's nice that it comes with both RCA and an HDMI cable, which is no longer common.
The included remote is very cheap and has mushy buttons.Read full review...

The remote control is too small and buttons are so small . The front panel is too small ,when you use the remote to stop or play , I was two feet in front pushed remote buttons three or four times maybe it will work maybe not . Great inexpensive CD player!

plays any disk even homemade ones
This DVD player plays all formats of disks. Most people don't burn(create) a DVD they just buy them. There are many types of blank disks for storing files, coping music or saving pictures. This unit will play all disks you make on a computer.

Very nice small profile DVD player. Was kind of taken aback when it asked for a password to be entered when I first used it, but a quick glimpse at the manual cleared this up. Is a bit annoying though when it asked for this, but doesn't every time. Does make some low noise when playing, but not all the time. For inexpensive DVD player it is very good.
The only reason I gave a four-star rating is because the remote control is kind of a pain in the butt. It should have been much more simplified. Other than that the unit works good and the upscaling of regular DVDs to the 1080p works excellently. For an inexpensive DVD player I am very satisfied with its quality and design if it lasts. The picture (in the ad....NOT the DVD player picture quality) could be deceiving, you may think the product is big... it's a shade under 9" side to side & 2" high. The remote is lightweight too.
