It has excellent spring tension and will work well with my single point sling on my Sig516 that is on the 2015 assault weapons ban list, LOL. Not what its cracked up to be.

I had tried to purchase a Magpul MAG540 on Amazon but they kept sending one made in China. I ordered the MAG540 from Ebay. When it came it would not stay inserted in my Ruger AR 556. At least the Chinese one would hold tight. The Magpul will not stay connected and pulls right out. Not impressed!Read full review

Magpul QD Swivel

I bought a China cheap QD Swivel to go on a Magpul Sling that some how got taken off and disappeared but learned my lesson after it came out of the Rifles QD hole. I luckily caught my Wilson Combat before it hit the ground and NEVER again will I use anything but Magpul QD's. What a difference

I bought some cheap knock off QD sling swivels at a local gun show recently and quickly learned why they are so cheap. They seem to engage just fine but once slung and climbing into stand the upper slipped right outta the QD port. Lucky to have caught my rifle. This item has a very nice almost parkerized looking finish! It is well made. The only thing is that the detent balls are very close to the head, so it fits only fairly thin mounts.

Strong and great fit
