Its a good game, but if you want to save a few bucks get Madden 11.

Madden has always had the "it" factor however upon playing the last 4 years of the game I can truthfully say that Madden 11 is much BETTER than Madden 12. The gameplay is better, 12 is missing that fun factor. It makes it seem like the game is moving much quicker/faster. Im not sure than the mechanics were correctly made in this version. Star players make mistakes a lot more. Only thing Madden 12 has better is obviously the roster/stats. Rookies from last year are more appropriately given stats. Other than that I would stick with 11. Oh one thing they removed that was in 11 that is not in 12. The Extra Point in Franchise mode, why? This for me gave it a more real feel. Better than 25

I've not spent much time with playing games...but that in which I have has shocked me in the differences of design and available modes. The best Madden game I've ever encountered was Madden 06. The Madden 12 is not as good for creation and modifying. The Madden 25 sucks compared to anything else...it is polarized mainly to online modes and forsakes past beauty of achievements in design. It appears to me that the designers of Madden are only adding and subtracting to claim "new" product...thus sucking money from consumers. The older 06 was my best experience.Read full review...

It's your typical Madden football experience. There are a few new things. You can make your own play books, which is cool, but, the play books are all chaotically arranged when u go to use them. The franchise is much improved, and much harder to predict who will be good. It is almost impossible to spot steals later in the draft. U are drafting blind, and that is stupid. You should have some basics to see if they are worth taking or not.

Good game, buy it if you like good solid football.

I haven't bought a Madden game since Madden 2004. I've played the others but it just wasn't the same. This game is pretty good game. It reminds me of Madden 2004 a bit. They've changed a vast amount of things since 2011. The Franchise Mode is awesome, you can actually use your own custom playbook in this. It feels like your actually IN the game sometimes too.

4/5 because I hate the commentary. They seem to be repetitive in their speech. It gets annoying after a couple days.Read full review...

An apparent focus on expediency over quality.

If you do something, I say you do it right to the best of your abilities. Too many parts of this game seem like they were just slopped together with very little thoughtfulness, if any. I think you're paying mainly for a 'new look' and updated rosters. I've been playing Franchise (only- so far) and the presentation is poor. I love the atmosphere of games and the crowd is dull here, barely changing unless there is a touchdown and then the stadiums aren't even full...so there isn't a great atmosphere I think...which was better in a version of Madden I bought a few years ago, so I don't know how they would regress. It's silly, also, when the computer is down by only 2 touchdowns but doesn't use their timeouts in the fourth quarter... :S I think EA Sports programmers are less focused on quality and more focused on expediency. Up the atmosphere, up the hard hits and ease of tackling (My safety ALWAYS is blocked by a big lineman) at least on lower levels, and don't get cheap on the intros. If you're gonna do em..do em right. (For most teams they introduce "And nowwww, your starting quarterback and receiver" and they run out...didn't even add their names. Madden NFL 12 Great Experience

At first I was hesitant about purchasing this game do to the current lockout so I thought the game would not be as good. In my opinion this is a great game and maybe if not the best in the franchise of Madden games. My reasoning behind this opinion is due to new features to the game. Such as expanded rosters in franchise along with bidding on players. You can also do more advanced scouting in offseason mode in franchise. In be an nfl superstar mode not many changes as far as I can tell, but you can walk onto a squad instead of being drafted. That change to me is great for if you want to make sure you play for your favorite team.Read full review...

I enjoyed this product thoroughly, especially for the price!!!

I am more into college football and am a little more biased to NCAA 12 but I was impressed that with different controls and slightly different gameplay that this was still such a fun game to play. Overall I would give it a grade of 88 but since it's only out of 5 stars I gave it a 4 because I don't think it was a perfect game. Nevertheless for a sports game it is top notch!Read full review...

Game is good, graphics could of been better

Game is good and fun, i love madden games since it came out, back for Sega. Tis one was a lil confusing playing at the beginning, looking to use updated team but it was hard to get it done for exhibition. bottom line is i havent plyed madden since 1998! so when i heard i could get madden 2012 at a great price , i jumped at the chance to own history!!! my experience was fun and exiting! although i beleive the next generation of madden games will be 100 time better in graphics alone!! i really did enjoy this game,and i felt that it was very easy to pick up and start playing and never missed a beat! i highly reccommend madden 2012!! its a mans game for sure!!!simply put "AWESOME".Read full review...

Typical Madden

Overall, its a good version of Madden. At first, i didn't like that they took away the turbo button, but got used to it very quickly. Plus, you can always revert back to it if you choose. There are also some new features in the different game modes that i liked as well. Graphics left more to be desired, but were ok. Good Game!Read full review...
