Great little mixer for a small band or small studio, the USB interface works nicely with Audacity and other DAWS.

Well constructed with a logical layout of controls, very clean sound from the pre-amps. Faders are smooth and clear, plenty of input and output options on a small footprint mixer. The USB interface is easy to use for recording vocals and instruments into a variety of DAWS. Even with an older PC laptop the playback/record latency is almost zero. I looked at several other brands but decided on the Mackie for quality and price point. Read full review...

Nice mixer with useful features

I bought this to replace my mid-2000s Mackie 1202 Micro Series mixer. I like the ProFX because it has a built-in USB connection, which eliminated the need for my Scarlett 2i4. The Onyx preamps sound really good, and they are noise free. I use it to record myself at home--mostly for fun--but if we ever go back to live gigs, I can see that it would be really useful because of the monitoring options and mute switches. I have the 12-channel version, and although I wish all 12 channels were sent via USB into the DAW, two channels is enough for me. I could use all 12 channels and then run the mixer into my Scarlett, but I still would not have 12 independent tracks. It took me a few days to figure out how to configure the USB output settings for my MacBook so that I could bring computer audio into channel 11/12, but otherwise, I figured out how to use by watching a few YouTube videos.Read full review...

Value + Adjustability + Sliders = Awesome board

We have use Mackie boards for 5 years and were in the market to expand our teams and this was the smallest board that had sliders versus knobs for volume adjustment. We also like the ability to have computer generated music on a slider with full adjustability versus the Mackie 8 which was on a knob.

A nice board for the price. We now have two and will be getting more in the next several months.

it's a Mackie Dude! or Dudette!

Got My Mackie! So Glad for this brand. Lots of head room, low noise, nice frequencies with the eq, good as an interface getting the audio to the computer.

I am satisfied with this mixer.

12v3

I just got this mixer and I still have a lot to learn about it. It worked pretty easily out of the box but since this is my first mixer I’ve still got a lot to learn. I’m using it primarily to mic and mix drums. So far so good. Read full review...
