Only one problem

The kit was easy to use. We had one problem. We filled the mold over the top but the stone mix shrunk down almost an 1 1/2" and we didn't reserve any mix to refill the mold. Water also accumulated in the mold after a couple hours. So, we were left with an incomplete mold. As one can see in the picture, it's a little short. I will say that the detail was very good. Instructions should read to only prepare the mix in small batches. My dear wife has since passed and I don't have a full mold. I'd purchase it again.Read full review

Instructions were fairly clear & easy to use. Takes longer than instructions say, but worked the way it was supposed to. End result turned out good, although I can think of lots of ways I could have made it go more smoothly now, of course. Would definitely use it again!Read full review

Easy to do with great results. Read the instructions. We planed things. Use newspaper. Kinda messy. Bubbles are going to be in the mold and when you cast it the cast will have a bunch of little bubbles all over, They peel off easy, little imperfections around nails but for our first one we are very satisfied. We did not use chilled water for the mold, just room temp, distilled water. Watch a clock to time things.Read full review

Best cast

Highly recommend this cast it was very simple and straightforward with easy to follow instructions and easy to mix and the cast came out excellent and with the very minor imperfections we were able to fix with the kit that came with it and with the extra cast we were able to fix very minor air bubble imperfections and with a slight sand from sand paper included in kit you can never tell it was there and with the details that it leaves from wrinkles or anything else it is amazing very satisfied bout for me and my wife as a surprise and she loved it came out excellent and would highly recommend this Luna Bean cast kit very satisfied customer and I encourage you to purchase and have a keep sake forever Read full review

We were worried that the final plaster wouldn't harden because it didn't get very thick in the pail, but it did and turned out great. mix the mold material well, we had lumps that had to be sanded off later. we are delighted with our results.Read full review

I made these for my sons as newborns & was amazed at how detailed & perfect they came out. Down to cuticles & pores! I have a huge family & I buy a Luna Bean kit for each newborn. Beautiful keepsake and very easy
