Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy Thing - Keith Urban

I don't get all of the negative reviews I've seen on eBay about this album. This is a unified body of work about the trials and tribulations of love. I'm a big Keith Urban fan and this is the most personal album he's created. Standout tracks include: "Everybody," "Shine," "Got it Right This Time," and "I Told You So" (one of my absolute favorite Urban tracks).

Some complain he's "not country enough", but listening to country radio today, there is very little which qualifies as traditional country; it's essentially the pop radio I grew up listening to in the late 70's (not that it's a bad thing) with a little "country" instrumentation. What I like most about Keith Urban is that he takes elements of rock, country and pop together to create a sound that is distinctively his. I can usually tell from the first few bars that it is a Keith Urban song.

Catchy choruses, deft guitar work and flawless production - could be said for any Keith Urban album, but especially true for this one!Read full review...

Big Urban fan here. I of course had to add this newest one to my collection. To me, it is a disappointment in many ways.

From The Ranch to Golden Road to Be Here there is one consistency with Urban's music: His sound. The infamous guitar riffs, his smile in his voice, the sadness we hear and share, and that one 'thing' that always lets you know this is Keith. This CD is missing that to me. The songs are not the hopeful, motivating, hand out the window in the wind tunes. The edge isn't here.

If this is the direction Keith is going with his music then I won't be buying another. It's just too "all over the place". There is no consistency, that Keith sound is nowhere to be found, it's just got no umph to me. Yeah, there's a catchy tune or two--but nothing magical, that screams Keith Urban.

Kieth Urban new cd

I decided to buy from eBay because I knew I would be able to find it more affordable than retail stores. The cd came in excellent condition, I listen to it often and the whole experience was great. I highly recommend people seek out eBay for everything before purchasing retail. There are deals to be had out there!

Love Keith Urban, but not this CD

I love listening to keith Urban because there's something recognizable about his music. But this CD isn't what I had hoped it would be. I like the lively Keith who lets out a little yell when there's a break in the singing. I hope the next will be better. It does resonate the sadness and turbulence that was persent in his life.

I'm selling this CD on ebay if anybody's interested. It will go for $7.00 plus $2.99 shipping and handling. Hope you like it better than I did. Come back Keith!!!

Once in a Lifetime...

REALLY great stuff by Mr. Urban on his 6th time around. This CD is for anyone who's crazy in love at the moment - lots of very sentimental and happy songs! Favorites include Once in a Lifetime, Shine, I Told You So and Tu Compania. Upbeat and cheerful - this album is proof that he's totally in love with Nicole. Buy it!

Ok anything this man puts out on the market is great. Just because it's not in the top ten is NOT a reason to not buy his work. I bought his because I love his style of playing. It's smooth sometimes fast sometimes sexy and sometimes just because!besides he's really cute and I love watching him on television. The album is great. Do not know what else to say. Garbage!

This CD is nothing but saccharine country pop. I do give Mr. Urban credit for writing (or co-writing) his own material, but this CD is limp and lifeless. I should have realized what I was getting into when I saw that Richard Marx co-wrote one of the songs. The album on the whole lives up to that credit... this is for people who like N'Sync, Barry Manilow or Kenny G. This is NOT for people that like real country singer songwriters.
