An Enjoyable Mechanical Experience :DD

The Logitech G710+ Mechanical Keyboard features Cherry MX Brown switches and gives you a similar feeling when you hear yourself typing on a silicon-membrane keyboard. Unlike the G710, which features Cherry MX Blue switches, the clacking on this keyboard is a bit quieter and ideal for an office space use.

Opening up the package, you get to see the keyboard in an anti-static bag and underneath is the wrist rest, manual, and warranty information. Unwrapping the keyboard entirely, you see two USB 2.0 cables: one for the actual keyboard and the other as a pass through. Nice touch for people that want to use a wired or wireless mouse and not have a wiring frenzy!

Moving forward, you have features such as a removable wrist rest, tilting legs, macro keys, profile switching, anti-ghosting, a dedicated Windows Menu lock button, media keys, a mute button next to a volume rocker, and two switches for keyboard lighting. You have the ability to change your "WASD" and arrow keys with one switch and the rest with the other button.

The overall transition of switching from my Logitech K360 to this keyboard wasn't surprisingly difficult. The only problem that occurred was when I played a MOBA game and I had to upgrade a move by hitting one of the "F" keys. Other than that, I often use the volume rocker when I listen to music while using Photoshop. The wrist rest is something I use, it's perfect and doesn't feel uncomfortable over a long period of use. The brightness on the keyboard is set at 4 levels, I typically use the lower 2 settings because of the poorly lit room I'm in and the fact that it is adjustable adds to the experience. That being said, the windows lock key is actually nice to have! You don't have to deal with the home screen popping up in the game and that's something that I don't press often; still nice for future situations! It also doesn't make as much noise at night versus the G710. I actually debated on either the two and I'm glad I went with the Brown switches.

Overall, I give this product a 10/10. The aesthetics of this keyboard are stellar! Not only is it a beautiful looking keyboard, but the ergonomics should be applauded. I recommend this 100% to anyone who is currently looking for a Cherry MX experience and easy on the ears over time use. Logitech did a great job and I am happy to own my first mechanical keyboard!

Great keyboard, get it on sale/refurbished.

This is a solid mechanical keyboard. It uses Cherry MX browns which are quiet as hell already, and on top of that it has o-rings pre-installed.

It has a very durable cable, so don't worry about that part. All the keys are easily detachable with a credit card, so feel free to swap out caps or take out ones that get in the way.

The lighting is only white, so its mostly just for using it in low light conditions. I took a star off because the indicator for the first macro key is constantly lit, and the indicators for caps lock, num lock, and scroll lock are way too bright. Simple fix is to just cut small slits in a piece of electrical tape at the distance of the LEDs and stick them on top of the various indicators and light up keys.

I initially had some problems with hitting the top left macro key instead of escape, so I just took the cap off and now its fine.

If you're looking for the mechanical feel in this keyboard, it won't be nearly as clicky as other mechanicals. Personally, I prefer this feeling, but it feels more like a mix between membrane and mechanical.

Spacing, responsiveness, layout etc are all good.

It's hefty, heavy, and durable. I expect this thing to last a loooong time. Definitely worth the purchase.

Great for both gaming and casual writing!

I bought this keyboard because I wanted a gaming keyboard. I was told Cherry MX Red switches were preferred for gaming, but I didn't want to use the keyboard for strictly gaming. I'm a forum hero, so I type a fair amount. This keyboard is perfect for both needs. I enjoy the tactile feedback for gaming, it even works fairly well for FPS games. I have tested it with games such as Rust, League of Legends, and Overwatch. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a solid multipurpose keyboard.Read full review...

Great Keyboard

One of the best keyboards I've ever used. Very sturdy design. No flexing what so ever. Nice bright lighting on the keys. Only wish the lights were RGB instead of just plain white. Other than that it's great and I highly recommend itRead full review...

Click. Clack. Clickity clackity click.

Ahh... the sound of your grandfather's typewriter in a keyboard made for today. The Cherry MX Blue switches give you feedback you can both hear and feel for the ultimate typing experience.

Pros:
* Good weight, isn't going to be sliding around on my desk.
* Tasteful white backlight looks good in an office or gaming den. (Can also be turned off)
* Extra USB port provided
* Media controls
* Game Mode button: disables the windows key to prevent you from accidentally leaving your game. Can be configured in software to disable any keys you wish.
* G-Keys: Can be configured in software to perform any keyboard based function or functions. G-Key assignments can be configured per application, so you can have one set for Firefox, another for Photoshop, and a profile for each of your games.

Cons:
* Takes up 2 USB ports on your PC (but you get one back on the keyboard itself)
* Mine came with a defective "C" key. There was a manufacturing defect in the soldering which was easily remedied and I'm definitely not and expert solder-er.

Great Keyboard, and Amazing Swtiches

This keyboard is great, and I found myself using the macro keys a lot more as time went on. The USB pass-through is a great addition as my computer is located under my desk. The brightness of the keyboard is really high and I prefer to keep it on the lowest brightness for nighttime use. The wrist-rest is probably the most beneficial part about this keyboard as it provides great support even though it's not entirely too comfy, you can get used to it. I bought the Cherry MX Brown switches which are not too loud but still provide an ample amount of feedback when clipped. This keyboard also comes with O-rings pre-installed, so that really does help dampen the noise.
All in all this is an amazing keyboard and very well worth the price.

Works great for a great price!!

This is my first true mechanical keyboard....and i am never going back to a membrane keyboard ever again.
What I like about this keyboard: typing is smooth as silk, there are standalone video buttons and an audio roller thingy, and the USB line in is a nice touch. The cord isn't braided, but it's very thick and sturdy so it's not a big deal for me
The buttons are easy to pop out and pop back in if you want to remove them for whatever reason. Macros are relatively easy to set up, I use this keyboard for gaming but my games of choice right now are EverQuest and World of Tanks so I haven't exactly messed around with creating macros, you'd have to look elsewhere for feedback on macro recording.
The backlighting on this keyboard is true white, not blueish white like my last pos keyboard was, which i prefer, I don't need a keyboard that flashes in every color under the sun so white is perfect, just what i need to see what buttons are what while i'm in a dimly lit room late at night.
All in all...this keyboard is perfect for what I need and want out of a keyboard. Typing is smooth as silk, works and responds very well to the games that I play, it's sturdy and has the above-mentioned conveniences i wanted...at a very decent price. I would have paid double for this keyboard. I highly recommend it.

Great keyboard , quiet

Really good keyboard, quiet keys, responsive. First mechanical keyboard I have ever owned. This one was an upgrade from an old Logitech G110 . What a difference. It seems I make less mistakes too.>
Quiet keys, yay. Who as a gamer wants to hear key switches?
I sure don't.Read full review...

Very nice G710+

This key board seems to be well thought out and designed. The keys are easy and feel great to type on and use for gaming is easy and fun. I have had one of these key boards from when they first came out and used every day for thousands of key functions fro typing and gaming. I have not had any issues with function of any keys. I don't clean my keyboard as often as I should or hardly ever. So this can speak of it's durability. I have had others types of mechanical keyboards in the past and they don't hold up under the conditions I give them. Food, Dust, grime, heavy handedness, and other uses and abuses. If you like this layout then this is a great keyboard to get. NO cons or complaints from me.Read full review...

Good purchase

Purchased a manufacturer's refurbished model. I don't think one can tell the difference beyond the packaging. Looks and works like new to me. This is an older model and does not have firmware support. But it can be controlled with current Logitech software. Works fine with Windows10. So far, it's been exactly what I needed. I didn't want to have to pay over $100 for a quality mechanical keyboard. For half that, this refurbished model seems to be doing the trick. I took off one star because it's not RGB backlight. But I knew that going in--just wasn't worth paying 2x the price. But would have been nice.Read full review...
