Best trackball mouse of all!

I used to own its predecesor, the M570. I loved it a lot and used it for easily 7 years, approximately. I had to replace it because it was dying, clicks were not working right and did constant real fast double-clicks. So searching for it again I came across this model which I wasn't aware of and read about the new feature that includes bluetooth connectivity. I bought it immediately and noticed that it has the same ergonomic feel with the added comfortness of the stripes that fit the palm of your hand. It's been almost a week since I started using it and I feel as if nothing has changed in terms of ease of use, comfort, control, and speed. I hope logitech continues to sell this product for always because it's the best of all trackball mice!Read full review...

I like it but...

It's sleek, black with a metallic painted thumb ball. It either needs a very "full" battery or it just doesn't have the range of my Logitech M720 Mouse. They are both paired with the same unifying receiver so they should both have similar reception. But they don't. I like the M575 for its shape, but I might ditch it for another for more continuity during use.Read full review...

Excellant Product!!!

I am 75 years old and have trouble with my wrists when moving a conventional mouse around. The Logitech Ergo M575 has solved that problem for me. I bought a case for it and it is made for the M575. The M575 isn't as fast as a regular mouse but it is pain free for me; of course I'm not very fast anymore either!Read full review...

Feels and works better than the M570

I like the new M575 trackball mouse. I have the M570 as well but it was getting older and wearing out, the 575 trackball feels smoother than the 570 and has more options with the button designations. It will be harder to install if you have older wireless logitech devices with the older software. The 575 uses newer software and drivers. If you have older devices you will also have to keep the older software for them and the newer software at the same time. If you choose to use the newer usb bluetooth device you will have to unlink all other devices to link them to the newer one. I wished they had software that does it automatically, but your older devices will not link to the newer usb device until they are unlinked to the older one.Read full review...

Trackball mouse is better than a good mouse - not perfect but still an improvement.

Easy to be able to do almost all select activities with y right hand -- this is definitely for right-handed people. It is quite sensitive and difficult to hold the cursor in a narrow vertical as in selecting from Microsoft's menu of applications on the home page overlay.
Sometimes the select drops and if you are trying to move an object, the object returns to its original place. Another concern is that the left mouse key next to the wheel needs to be pressed to "let go" of the object being moved.
It is an improvement over the wheel mouse if only because the wireless trackball stays in one place. A mouse needs to be moved and other things on my work surface (desk) get in the way.

A very comfortable trackball

I like trackballs, although not all trackballs. My favorite was the Logitech TrackMan Marble FX, discontinued by Logitech several years ago. I have a couple of them sitting in a box of unused electronics.

So for the last several years I have been using wireless mice -- until I saw an ad for the Logitech Ergo 575 trackball. Its not the same as the old TrackMan Marble FX, which mainly used your fingers to control the enormous ball. The Ergo M575 uses the thumb to control a much smaller ball -- but it is surprisingly easy and not at all tiring or stressful on the thumb. That's all I needed to bring me back into the trackball fold.

The Ergo 575 doesn't have all the options of some higher priced trackballs, but it has some options through the Logitech Options software (download for free from Logitech.)

The Ergo 575 connects with either Bluetooth or WiFi. I use the Bluetooth myself.

Logitech Ergo 575 trackball -- good price, comfortable, modifiable, and ergonomic.

Very happy with my new mouse.

I was a little leary of buying a reconditioned product but upon receipt of this wireless mouse, I was very pleased with the operation, size, and condition of it. It loaded and worked perfectly and immediately. I have used it continuously for about a week now with NO glitches whatsoever.

Works

I really like these trackballs but for one thing (and this is not the seller's problem) the microswitches wear out faster than other mice I have used. I keep having to replace it - but I do because they are so superior to other mice.Read full review...
