Outstanding Tribute

First off. IMHO I would like to point out that BLACK SABBATH is the beginning, middle, and end of all heavy music. Now on with my review. Hand of Doom is one of the best tribute albums of any genre. Melissa Auf Der Maur, whose project this was, nails the sound of Sabbath. She does a pretty good Ozzy.Melissa also sounds like she is having fun. The song selection is predictable. But after so many Sabbath tributes, you cannot complain too much when the quality is this good. The sound quality and production are top notch. My favorite songs on this cd are Hand of Doom and The Mob Rules, on which Nick Oliveri(QOTSA) takes over vocal duties as DIO. The only song I think they miss is Paranoid. Is this cd essential? YES! If you see it, buy it. If you meet Melissa Auf Der Maur, get on your knees and thank her.Read full review...
