Inside look at glamorous show biz
We just lost that indomitable little fighter given the name of Mickey Rooney. You won't need a dictionary for this easy reading book. Filled with information about all the stars Hollywood created when true talent reigned supreme, anyone who is curious about them, waste no time and get the book. Mickey (aka Joe Yule) throws you a little nugget once and awhile. Who is the "budding young starlet who shall be known here as Laura Smith"? (page99)Find out about that awkward first (and last) date.
Mickey Rooney was a work horse who performed to his very last days. He never stopped to realize how underpaid he was. The moguls made their fortunes on the backs of young talent willing to do the impossible for a few bucks.
The book is a reel eye opener.
Thank you Mickey for all the memories. Hollywood will never be the same. You were a true dynamo.Read full review...
Didn't care for it
I don't believe in speaking ill of the dead. Suffice to say, I just didn't care for the book. Others might so don't take my one star to heart, it's just my opinion.
