So far I have used it several times cutting 3/8's inch plate steel with no issues. Very easy to assemble, I had no power so I had to take the cover off and found a wire that was unplug, I fixed that and it worked great. Excellent choice for sheet metal work, but not much thicker.
Electrical cord is too short. Depending on the job, it can be difficult to start because it has no pilot. Wish I had bought the one with the pilot. It cuts through sheet metal pretty good. I used it on 3/8 and it took a while and had to replace the tip just to cut one 4" piece of 3/8 iron. For the price, its a good starter machine. I recommend buying the one with the pilot. Great plasma for the price
Works really good so far, used it about 10 times. I ruined the consumables second try, trying to blast out some rivets on a frame. quickly learned how not to use it. I purchased bulk consumables from china (they are all the same) I really haven't ruined any since. So that being said, for the price, it is a good deal. Just curious on its life. Read full review...

Awesome value
This is my first plasma cutter. It works much better than I expected. This is a rare case when low price did not equate to a cheap product. Would recommend 2 areas for improvement. The power cord is only 4' long so it leaves the unit close to the outlet which can be inconvenient. The ground cord is only 6' long where the torch is 12' long, This again is an inconvenience more than anything else.

Impressed by the quality
I was really surprised by the quality of the Lotos Lt5000D clean cut plasma cutter. The torch itself cuts as good as any that I have used before and I have work in the welding industry all my life. The thickest I cut so far is some 1/4 in steel. I did take the cover off when I first got it and done an inspection of it. The plug that the the torch plugged into was a little lose but was easily tightened with a crescent wrench. For a cheap cutter I would recommend this product to anybody want a torch for home. Not a Toy
Yes, it looks and feels like a toy. NOT A TOY! I was worried about something so small and light being able to do a serious job. I've been impressed. The nastiest job I was headed for was salvaging a steel tank with rust and at least 8 coats paint outside and 2 coats inside. I have spent over 55 years working steel and Acy/Oxy was all I've known...until now. It could be better and I know now what to do but right out of the box this little jewel is fantastic! I can hardly wait to get on some clean material to see what it will really do! This is an excellent machine. Longevity? Time will tell.
NOTICE: This unit does not have a pilot arc and has a very sharp learning curve without one. Know your skill level and buy accordingly. Buy the consumables and look for the ones with the taller 'top hat' copper part. Makes a great tool even better!!!!!!Read full review...

Good product for the price
I like the plasma cutter and have only one comment... it has a 50 amp rating but the plug is only rated at 30 amps. Not sure this is a problem but I wonder why this is...
