Smartphone that you can watch t.v. on
The LG Vu has one key feature that may have you wanting this phone. It is the AT&T Mobile TV app. For an extra fee, you can literally whip out the antenna and watch TV on this phone.
THE PROS ARE:

-Lightweight and compact
-2 megapixel camera with a button on the side so you can get to it directly
-A full Web browsing experience
-Check and reply to emails
-3G data connectivity
-Stereo Bluetooth
-A memory card slot that is expandable to 4GB
The CONS ARE:
-The camera doesn’t have a flash
-There is no GPS navigation
-Some people complain that the battery life is way too short, but the estimated talk time is 3 hours, and the standby time is 250 hours.

18th Century Love Prose to the Vu.
So, there I was: Stuck with a five year old flip phone that was far past the age it should have given up the ghost. I set out to find a new confidant and holder of contacts. I have had good luck with LG phone's in the past (I had an all to brief, yet passionate love affair with an EnV3), so I narrowed my search to that brand. I am a fervent texter, and not one given to making many calls, so a messaging phone was the order of the day.
I was considering a Xenon, as Qwerty is a must for me and it seemed to fill the bill, when one day as I strolled thru the dirty ill-lit corridors of my local Walmart I saw the Vu on display. I admit at first I was coy. I merely danced up to it, flirting with the idea of courting it for my own. I then got up the courage to make a full inquiry as to it's assets. I discovered a wealth of features (all that I could want and more in fact), including a passable camera, respectable sound quality and the capacity to store and play full mp3 audio, good capacity for video, and of course all that little things that are expected such as alarm, calendar, and the like. These are merely trifles tho. I admit myself superficial, as the real fun was to be had in the appearance of the thing. Nice casing, reminiscent in fact of a less reflective Shine. It is no dainty thing, that I admit. Not so large as to be cumbersome to venture abroad with, but still perhaps enough so to put off those more inclined to the diminutive. As for myself, I prefer a bit of heft in my devices, so that pleased me well.
The decisive part of course of any such device that thrives on touch is how is responds to such stimuli. Here as well , I am proud to say, it performs admirably. I am not normally given to appreciate a touch-screen interface, so finding that this one suited my means was a surprise most pleasant. It comes with no stylus, so one must not be shy to get well acquainted with it. It responds in a timely and nicely precise means to the desires of its operator. A bit of practice may be necessary, I had a bit of trouble learning to properly aim for full key texting, but the payoff is well worth it.
I have not yet tested the TV tuning ability of the device, odd perhaps since it is its biggest claim, but with a large, crisp display such as it has, I've little doubt but that it would be a pleasure to view.
Overall, this is a great, and really nice looking, messaging phone that can be got quite a bit cheaper than some of the other options for touch-screen phones. It comes with a lot of bells and whistles, but nothing really show-stopping. The components combine to form a solid package tho. I wouldn't recommend it if you are the type that just doesn't think they can get over the all-touch hump tho, and there is just no way to use it otherwise. I would also not advise it if it is for a younger user, or if you are especially clumsy, as if the screen is damaged its over. It can take more punishment than you would think, but it is by no means created for roughing it. Sleek-Lots of features
I bought this phone cuz my Sony S710 finally took a dump after I dropped it one to many times. I still miss that phone. I thought I would like the touch screen but I'm still undecided bout that. On some things its great but others its just downright infuriating. Mostly if you want to scroll thru something its real hit or miss, and there's no other way of getting around. I have the best luck using a pencil with an eraser as a stylus. Especially the qwerty. Fat fingers? Forget it. It can do a ton of stuff but if you don't buy the service(s) then its pretty much just another phone. Didn't come with a single non-demo game. Its also kinda irritating having to push the unlock key on the side of the phone twice every time you want to do anything. The time and date are right in the middle of the screen and you cant turn it off or move it so if you have a cool pic you want to put on you wallpaper make sure that whats important is either just a little above or below right across the middle of the screen! Also I thought it was strange that the phone can 'make an animated GIF' but it wont work as a wallpaper.??? The speaker phone works quite well. I'm not sure if I like the size as its hard to do anything but hold it or put it down or pocket it. Not terribly impressed with the camera/corder and it doesn't have a flash or flashlight (my old Sony did!) It didn't really help take pics unless it was pitch black out, but I cant tell you how many times I whipped it out to see in the dark. This phone can use an unknown size micro SD. I've seen ppl say they have an 8 gig. I have a 2 gig and that's more than enough given how difficult is scrolling through files. I think I like it but IDK yet.Read full review...
LG Vu CU920 (AT&T)
This phone has all the functionality that it advertised. It is very easy to use. I am disappointed in that it does not perform like other phones I have had, Nokia in particular. I can't get a signal at home unless I go outside or walk throughout the house looking for a hotspot. Consequently the battery goes dead on me often during a call when I do get a signal so I am charging it a lot more than any other phone I have had. The Nokia phones that I have had before never had a weak signal or needed chargiing as much. I talked with an AT & T tech and she told me that this is a common complaint. If I had known this I would have never purchased this phone. Greatly disappointed with it. It is supposed to be a mobile phone. Overall, this phone is Great. The touch screen is very good, the menus are easy to navigate, and is very simple to set up and use right out of the box without using the manuals. I do not really text message or use any multimedia functions on the phone, so I can not really comment on that.
Lastly, the only complaints about the phone are the following:
- Slight hissing background noise through the earpiece while on a call.
- Custom Ringtones can only be a certain size to be used on phone.
- Charging port cover is a small cheap plastic door on the side of the phone that you pop out using your fingernail. The door rotates/swings out of the way to plug in your charger. I feel that the plastic charging port door will probably break sooner than later. Please keep in mind, if you purchase a silicone case or a rubberized plastic snap on case, the plastic charging port door will be a little difficult to rotate/swing completely open because of the thickness of the installed case.

This phone is so easy to use! Love the touch screen and the features it has. Great camera and cool cover choices. Im alittle upset about the whole charging thing, when the phone completly dies and you try to plug it in, in goes in and out of music sync, so about twenty mins later after you fight with canceling it you can finally charge the phone. Battery doesn't hold long at all! I talk on the phone maybe once or twice a day, everything is texting but I have to charge phone daily. LG VU CU920 awesome
I love the touch screen applications and the fact its not necessary to have a data plan to own it. It's my first touchscreen and I find it a joy to work with. It's size is optimal being a moderate sized phone with a screen big enough to see everything clearly but small enough to fit into a pocket or other arranged spots. The camera although only a 2.0 auto focus works like a charm. The audio is very clear and speakerphone works like a charm. The phone can pick of several sounds and whispers no matter the distance. The only drawback is the phone's reaction while entering certain programs on the phone it tends to pause and think through that process. That and I had to re-establish all my ringtones on my memory card as it would not recognize previous work. On a scale of 1-10 I give it an 8.5.Read full review...
Easy to use and easy to modify!!!
Simple phone to use. Decent features from stock but SUPER easy to hack and modify to make it way cooler. Already addeded themes for iPhone, Walkman, Android, and Blackberry Storm on this phone.
Not quite as great as the iPhone is as far as features but for the price difference, I would suggest it over the iPhone. This has to be the easiest phone to customize that I have ever had. Check out www.lg-vu.com for tips to hack and modify. I am no computer guru but the directions on this site helped me to get the phone the way I wanted it in just under an hour. Good Basic Touch Phone
Though plastic and cheap in feel, as just a phone with basic touch features it works better than an iPhone. Excellent call quality, nice display, ease of navigation through it's limited capabilities makes this phone a good choice to experience 'touch-type' phones for first timers.
DO NOT EXPECT an iPhone EXPERIENCE HOWEVER. This is definitely a BASIC touch phone, nothing more.

Nice entry level touch screen phone.
Nice little phone to see if you want to try a touch screen phone. I had two of these waiting for my contract to be up so I could upgrade to a smart phone. WARNING: These phones do not take being wet at all. I lost the first one in a thunder storm. It was in my pocket but still got wet enough to stop working. I lost the second one in a water balloon battle.
I have upgraded to a smart phone but my son's contract is coming up so I bought one for him. He loves it so far. Hopefully his indoor life style will work well with this phone.
I liked this phone alot while I used them. I didn't use the T.V. or many of the other features. Until they got wet these were great little phones.Read full review...
