LG Exalt LTE 4G

Big improvement over Alcatel Go Flip V 4G LTE that we tried first. Ergonomics and voice clarity very good. I would have given it 5 stars but unlike LG Exalt II 3G the 4G LTE LG Exalt does not have the quick text feature which lets you select a pre-typed text message with one button and send it out to your recipient painlessly. Trying to text on a flip phone is a full time job so not having the quick text feature will be missed. Other than that my Lady and I are very happy with our LG Exalt LTE 4G phones. Battery life could be better but it was not a deal breaker for us. Read full review...

Upgrade from the 3g version, lower battery life the price.

Having owned the 3g version, and being very happy with that model, we bought this, the newer 4g/wifi model. Verizon abandoning the CDMA network next year being our only motivation, we were really happy with its predecessor. This has a much better camera. The price for the 4g/wifi features is battery life. It has to be charged daily, regardless of use, or it will drop to less than 15% charge, and, it panics at 11% charge. We never had hinge or screen issues with older model, and expect none with this one. Some of the buttons have been re-located between the two models, but, that is easily adapted to. The charging port is recessed deeper than the earlier model, so, pay close attention that you orient the connector correctly; would have been nice if they copied the Apple port.Read full review...

Nice features

I enjoy the size and all of the features. It is really easy to use. I would have liked a window in the front and the battery to last longer. However, I would recommend it and I would buy it again.

CHECK LIFETIME CALL LOG!!!

Phone review:
Purchased the item from a listing that said it was a new, overstock item. Received the device and found it had some minor blemishes on it (sharpie mark etc) that was easily cleaned off using rubbing alcohol (ok not a big deal). Activated fine on Verizon network Using new un-activated SIM card ($10). Did not purchase the activation kit($30), activated using phone prompts.
This phone uses a NANO SIM card. I made the mistake of listening to eBay when it said “frequently bought together” and showed this phone and a micro SIM card. I had to go to a Verizon store and buy one for $10, not a big deal though as there was one nearby.

Phone itself works great. I got the $40 plan that includes unlimited talk text and 3GB of LTE data. The phone does group messages (unheard of in a flip phone) and has a basic web browser. You can surf the web and watch YouTube videos if you want. Phone has WiFi, Bluetooth and mobile hotspot capability, all of which work great. I use WiFi at home to minimize data (even though I don’t use it that often), Bluetooth worked great to connect my old Samsung gleam flip phone to transfer contacts over. The only thing I don’t like about this phone is that it can’t view PDF files (although it can download them) and it doesn’t have a call recording feature, although almost no phones have it built in. My old Samsung gleam SCH-U700 (a 3G device) had that capability and it worked great.
This phone can also be used as an MP3 player, but the music must be played through the media center. you can listen through the headphone jack (3.5mm) or the speakerphone, which is pretty loud. You can download mp3 files and listen to them on your phone, which is pretty nice. Also You can download pictures to your phone and send them to contacts if you like. If somebody sends you a picture and it’s hard to make the details out, you can zoom in on the picture, but you must save it first. photo editing is limited to 3 options: rotate, crop, and filter. Rotate let’s you rotate 90° at a time, crop is a zoom and crop, which saves as a new picture, filter gives you 3 options: sepia, black and white, and negative(which also saves as new picture)
Camera isn’t that great, but for 5MP, it’s decent. Videos turn out pretty good.
The buttons have a nice solid click to them (unlike my previous Samsung gleam) and you know when you accidentally double pressed a key. Texting is pretty easy using the T9, which has predictive text, which is really convenient. Also you don’t need to bother with apostrophes, they are put in automatically. I was concerned that I would be unable to view Cyrillic text in text messages, but I am able to read them just fine. Have to reply using English though. I am able to receive GIF’s, but the phone doesn’t have a repository of GIF’s to send, so you have to manually find and download them. Sending to group messages though may be a problem, from my testing only one person from the group receives it (first one to come alphabetically it seems like). Phone has a surprisingly large selection of ringtones and alert tones. Also was surprised to learn this phone gets amber alerts and other emergency messages, although they can be turned off.
Also this phone can be set up to send and receive emails, although it appears to be limited to just one inbox.
If you try to download apps, you will be under the impression that it’s possible, but this isn’t the case. Even though it’s running some version of android, it’s not a version that has a play store or allows you to download apps.
Micro SD card can be used (up to 32GB), and must be ejected in the software before you remove it.

Seller review:
Began checking settings and found that the phone had a lifetime call log of over 9 hours! Unbelievable! This was supposed to be a new phone! Contacted seller and he gave some shpeal about how during the unlocking process they copy the contents from another phone then wipe the phone, but the call log stays. What a load of baloney! thats not how phones are unlocked, and even if it was true, why is it listed as new? At best, them unlocking it makes it a seller refurbished phone.

Great small phone

I had an LG Exalt prior to this one , I do not want/need a large smart phone as I am very active and this has to go with , in a front blue jean pocket. Really nice and clear with excellent battery life. II can go 3 days with out a charge when just using it for short calls. I would buy it again in a heart beat. Read full review...

Bullet Proof Phone...I Bought Another One!

I was happy to find this phone available and in near mint condition. I have had an identical phone in service for several years. My phone had become a bit shabby. I wished to replace it with the exact same phone, as the Exalt phone is as reliable as the sun and as durable as an anvil. The fact that this unit can do virtually any task a "Smart Phone" can do is one of its greatest features. Plus it's a bullet proof flip phone that folds to protect the screen. When folded it's the size of a credit card. This is truly a useful instrument...and it makes phone calls! Who'd a thunk it?Read full review...

Great basic phone

I was skeptical about this phone with no front cover display, but it has so many other features that I REALLY like, that I don't even consider it to be a drawback anymore! The functions and buttons are so similar to my previous basic phone (LG Revere 3) that it was very easy to adapt to. And the larger screen and buttons are wonderful. I absolutely love the voice command function - I use it alot more than I thought I would - it makes texting and calling so easy. I haven't had it long enough to know if the battery life is good or bad, but I've used to for 3 days now and it's only gone down 1 bar, so I suspect it's good!Read full review...

Great flip phone for seniors

I bought this phone for my 83 year-old mother that was using a different flip phone that was no longer going to be supported by Verizon. It is easy to use, she loves it! I also switched her from my sister's Verizon account, to my Xfinity Mobile account. This phone works with Xfinity mobile... yes, Xfinity will say this phone is not supported, but it works. If you have another phone that they say they honor as bring-your-own-device, register that phone with them, then take the SIM card out of it and put in the LG Exalt LTE, like we did, it will work!Read full review...

Still a nice choice for a flip phone and nice size .

I like the size and large screen ant the camera . The only thing I dislike is the new program . I wish it had the same program as my LG VN370 . The text program and the contact list were far more user friendly .Read full review...
