Positive addition
My Pioneer powered system primarily used Polk Audio speakers. I upgraded to a Klipsch wireless sub and added Klipsch Atmos. I decided to replace my Polk Center with this Klipsch. I’m not an audiophile, I have old ears, but my daughter and I immediately noticed clearer, sharper dialogue with this speaker. Sure the one it replaced was over 10 years old, but I think this would have outperformed it even if that one was new. It may not be worth the money to everyone to upgrade, but for my 9.2 system, the sound (and the look with the copper speakers) were well worth the expense. eBay has the right price
I spent some time looking at center speakers and the Klipsch brand kept coming up with great reviews. Price wise eBay was 200 bucks less and it was new in the original box even though it said open box. Tip wait til after your purchase to buy a extended warranty, they send you a better price and longer warranty. The sound is fantastic, action pack movies the sound is like being in the movie theater. Excellent value, great quality speaker!
I have a complete Klipsch surround sound system but I was never really happy with my R-25C center channel speaker. It just didn't have enough depth/bass to it and was not much of an upgrade to my old Cerwin Vega center channel. I saw this R-450C listed as an open box at a good price and am extremely pleased! The speaker showed up in the original box with slight damage but nothing serious. Opened it up and was pleased to see the speaker in original packaging and not a scratch on it. Hooked it up and the difference was immediate, louder and much less of a "tin can" sound to it. This speaker is worth every penny, do NOT skimp on your center channel. I had a Yamo center channel speaker and thought it was the best Ive ever heard (Yamo was bought by Klipsch and they are high quality speakers! After replacing the Yamo I have been pleasently surprised! Klipsch hit a home run with this one. After many hours of listening to action movies, music, etc. the dialog comes through with clarity but not harsh and with warmth that makes you feel the that it couldnt sound any better if you were present where the sound was emitted. Excellent sound I have a small room I sit about 4 feet away from it so the treble can be just a bit much but I've only had it for a few days so its still in the break in period I guarantee it will smoothe out over time. (Gets extremely loud!) very clear sound on movies as well as music.
