This is a generic Benadryl... just what can I say about it? It has the same formulation as the original brand name and thus is a pretty effective allergy medicine. The price was very good and the package arrived within a couple of days. The packaging leaves a lot to be desired; placed in a plastic bag which was wrapped tightly around the bottle with no protection against breakage. In fact, the child-proof cap was damaged, probably by simply dropping the item onto a hard floor at some time during packing or handling at various postal facilities.

Granted, the inner cap is still in good shape so I kept the bottle. However adding a layer of foam or bubble wrap will prevent future problems of that sort.

I am really sorta lost for anything to say. This is a medicine, generic but does the job. Great price, too.Read full review...

Benadryl is an excellent product

A number of years ago I was a drug detail man for the company that developed diphenhydramine, and knew the discoverer Dr George Rieveschl who at the time of discovery was teaching at the University of Cincinnati.. I sold thousands of capsules of Benadryl which were then a prescription item . The original dosage mostly in use was 50 mg. There was a Bromine analogue called Ambodryl which was not sleep inducing ( soporific) as Benadryl can be. Many over the counter pain relievers today contain Benadryl to help with sleep and reduce pain at the same time. I sometimes use 25mg as a sleep aid. Benadryl was the first antihistamine sold by the pharmaceutical industry. The liquid form is used often in surgical procedures to prevent allergic reactions to other medicines., and in baby formula to prevent colic. rubbed on baby gums to prevent the pain of teething. Does what it says it does

It is effective for fast relief from pollen and indoor allergies. It is fast acting but of a shorter duration. Does not give me 8 or 24 hr relief but it is the best at working faasst. The others are slooww. It helps stop the watery runny nose. I can breather easier. It also helps when my eyes get watery and burn, it is fast relief.
