Decent Budget Tuner

The Kenwood KT-5300 AM/FM stereo tuner is a bottom of the line component tuner that performs satisfactory for it's price point. I've recently purchased 2 of these tuners and they pick up a decent number of FM stations with good sound quality using a basic dipole antenna. Selectivity and capture ratio is not spectacular but okay. Stereo separation is satisfactory. AM performance on the 2 tuners I have is relatively poor, but I live in a rural area and was not using an external antenna, so performance may be better in metropolitan areas.
If you're looking for a basic AM/FM stereo tuner and don't live in a rural area, or will be using an external/outdoor antenna, this tuner might fit the bill.

It worked for minutes and quit, with a "no return " policy
