Ideal for those 230 to 250 pound users

Once assembled, it provides a sleeping spot safely off the ground. Beware though getting it assembled is no mean trick. Go to the manufactures web site and there is a short but succinct video. you need to observe the secret to getting the side rail installed. as to the spring steel supports, you can ignore the video unless you have Olympic class arm muscles and can do one-handed pull-ups. i was only able to do it by turning the frame sideways and using my entire 230 pound body weight pressing down to compress the springs. There is a 250 pound weight limit, so this leaves a rather narrow range of suitable users.
Before heading into the wild, please practice assembly to be sure you are up to the task.

SAVE YOUR MONEY ! NOT USER FRIENDLY !

This product is more trouble than it's worth.Poor design and very dangerous to assemble !I gave it one star because it is compact and that's it.Compact but too heavy for backpacking. For a couple of dollars more you can get a cot that simply unfolds ready to go. I also believe there is no quality control involved with this product or it would have been totally revamped by now. Read full review...

Difficult to set up.

As described in other reviews, this cot is a bear to set up the first time. It is not easy and best to have two people. Perhaps over time the material will stretch a little making it less difficult to get the side poles correctly aligned as well as completely placed into the material. The feet require more than should be necessary strength to place in the corresponding holes. At 8 pounds, backpacking would be a challenge. Read full review...

Buy this product only if you want to see the ludicrous side of camping.

First of all it is very difficult to put together. The instructions are worthless-my dog could have done better instructions and drawings. All four of the "legs" had to be bent to facilitate assembly. You would not take this on a camping trip where you had to assemble and disassemble regularly.
In addition to the infantile instructions the cot is not stable, so if you are laying on your back and decide to roll onto your left side you will ride the cot over to the floor. The canvass covering is pretty good the rest not so much so.

can't wait for camping now

I've had bad luck with air mattersses in the past so I thought I would give this a try and am very glad I did. It will make an excellent addition to my camping trips and a little extra weight is worth it for a good nights sleepRead full review...

Hope you have good upper body strength

Once it’s actually put together it’s a nice cot. When it breaks down it’s small and light, which was what I was looking for. and the price was the best I’ve seen around. The downside: putting this thing together is no easy task. You have to actually flex the bars to fit into the frame. It takes a considerable amount of effort and also a decent amount of muscle to make it happen.
It’d work great for backpacking or tent camping because of the low height and weight, just be prepared to expend some energy putting it together

Clunky

It is tougher than it should be to assemble and as big as my 2 man tent bagged up but once it's where you need it and setup the comfort is as good as the more expensive cots I've used.

Good value, good quality.

I did quite a bit of research before buying the this cot. The price on these is better than most. I was skeptical about buying open box but did. These items were like new when they arrived, setting them up was easier than some folks indicated in forums and they are comfortable.
I’ve been in touch with the manufacturer to suggest some design improvements but those improvements are something I can do to the ones I’ve bought. I would buy them again.

Big and heavy

The cot is comfortable. It's a bear to erect, but I could do it alone. It is surprisingly heavy, and the packed size is surprisingly large; far to big and heavy to backpack.

I bought this cot as a replacement for a Lixury Lite cot, but it's far too heavy, large, and difficult to erect for that.Read full review...

Would buy again no doubt

It's really nice an durable but the one flaw is the side bars just slide together loosely so they come apart easy when your trying to get the legs on an that's not the easiest task but well worth the timeRead full review...
