A BASIC Chinese cookbook - but still WONDERFUL!
I first bought this book in 1963. Couldn't buy many ingredients for Chinese food then - went to a Chinese restaurant for won-ton skins! SO, this might seem very simplistic compared to 2012 cookbooks but Chen was the J. Child of Chinese cooking THEN. Highly recommend Peking Hot & Sour soup, egg rolls are delicious.Easy instructions on how to grow bean sprouts (mung beans) because I couldn't buy even bean sprouts and now I grow them - according the Chen.Read full review...
