Ramones are Awesome.

The Ramones are still one of rocks most underappreciated bands.
if you're going to wear the shirt, buy the CDs! This one is a great introduction, along with "Ramones Mania."

The Best of the Unknown Ramones Years

This is a great CD as it has a perfect blend of live and studio tracks but, importantly, the live stuff is from the same era as the studio stuff although the actual songs come from the early period. Confusing? well let me explain: some of the live tracks such as 'Sheena' & Blizkreig Bop were very early Ramones songs but as the years progressed the band did them tighter and faster. IE in the Chrysalis years, which is what you get here. Another gem is the cover of The Rolling Stones 'Out of Time'. This is one of the few tracks from the Ramones' Acid Eaters 'covers' album which is excellent. Too sum up - for someone discovering the band this is a good way to get a taste of the later stuff without having to buy every album. There seems to be a distinct split in fans opinion of when the band were better live - early (slower) days or mid eighties onwards when they had refined and reduced the live performances to a distilled stream of pure energy. The choice is yours. With the later Chrysalis albums I found the band had also stopped turning out formula LPs and had the freedom to diversify as they were no longer household names and could afford to write music that suited them rather than, perhaps, the record company. A stand out track id mystey man Marky Ramones tub thumper Anxiety. Turm it up loud!! Anyway that's just my opinions. Make your own mind up. Adios Amigos.Read full review...

Hey Ho Let's Go

I bought this album largely for the live third disc, as it no longer seems to be available in the UK. Originally released as LOCO LIVE, the album is a non-stop exhilarating ride on the Ramone train. However, I have to say that this complilation is brilliant in its entirety. I have benn a Ramones fan for many, many years, and although I'm not sold on all the tracks from the latter albums, I still think their music is the best. This compilation is a very inexpensive way to experience early Ramones through the live album, and also enjoy their latter works.Read full review...

I bought this cd for my daughter who is at present in her "goth" stage. Having listened and liked the Ramones in my youth I decided she would alos enjoy their music and guess what she did...bonus.
